I am actually quite impressed with the Amazon Basics Bluetooth and USB Computer Speakers. The speakers are actually quite heavy (more so than they appear at first glance). I am also pleased with the sound quality. Certainly, I would not expect speakers of this size and price point to reproduce Concert Hall quality sound and would not plan to use them for watching movies, concerts or other complex sound intensive events. Yes, bass is not a forte for these speakers, but for general PC sound and even some basic music, these are more than adequate. They are capable of playing at near 100% volume without major distortion. For my needs, I typically have the volume set between 50-75%. For this level of sound, these speakers do not disappoint. Available USB ports on my PC are limited, so I opted to plug the USB into an adapter into a wall outlet. I fully expected to need to run an AUX cable in order get the sound from my PC. However, these connected immediately to my PC's Bluetooth and starting playing. So, no cable needed! There are some comments regarding the wired connection between the speakers and the control pod. I personally don't have a problem with that. I placed the speakers on either side of my monitor (see photo) and laid the control pod underneath the monitor. While out of the way, the controller is easily accessible (more so than either of the speakers) to adjust the volume (but I find just using the Sound Mixer option on my task bar to be easier) and control the accent lighting (which is a nice plus for these). 5 STARS AND I DO RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. Great price and great quality at a low price. Took about 2 seconds to hook up via Bluetooth to computer. As soon as I plugged them in they were in pairing mode. So easy. And fit perfectly under monitor.

What's not to love about these speakers? First of all, let's talk about price. For around 16.00 how can you beat them? I didn't think I would be getting much for that price, but I was wrong. The low-profile look, big sound, and user-friendly controls boasted by these speakers will convince you that you got a bargain deal. My old speakers were clunky, ugly, and took up too much space. I had a cord between the speakers, cord to the computer, and a power cord. It looked like a sloppy mess. With these. That problem is solved with these speakers. My favorite features are the push button volume control and the soothing blue accent light. The cord length is generous enough to be flexible while the portability is certainly there if needed since it draws power from the usb. They look great, they sound great, and they are priced right. Buy them!

These were recommended on multiple places around the internet as very economical speakers that sounded good. My wife needed to replace her '90s vintage speakers with something better so I got these and she was not disappointed. They're very small and half a minimum of wire that needs to be rooted around. I used stuff USB transformer instead of plugging them into the computer for power and then we just use Windows' Bluetooth and connected them and that was all there was to it. They sound quite nice and are very clear. I mean you're not going to get any room rattling bass out of them but they have a good range across what you need to hear things clearly and to get good response with music. It's nice to have the volume control right there in the ability to turn the lights if you don't want them but the light is really nice and it's not super bright. I imagine my wife would have given these five stars and the only reason I gave at four is because personally I'd like a little bit punchier base but really you can't expect that for such an economical price. Really nice little speakers.

These speakers punch well above their price class. Honestly, desktop speakers 6X the price have not sounded as good as these do. Very good bass for such a small footprint. They fit neatly underneath your monitor at 3 1/2" inches tall. The only negative aspect is having to turn off the light every time you power up your PC. A permanent way to switch off the light would be appreciated. But outside of that, if space is a major consideration, you can't beat these speakers on footprint and price!

needed some speakers for my laptop desk. The bluetooth option makes it nice to not have to disconnect anything when taking laptop with me. Set up was easy peasy. The blue light can be separately shut off , not sure why they even have lights, seems like a waste. Anywho the sound is decent with a little bass action and a little bump. Don't get nuts as it starts to sound like a 6x9 sundried Kraco speaker in an old Buick if pushed to max. You can still jam just know your limits. They have some decent weight to them which means they have a decent driver, or full of sand. Either way, they sound great for the price.

These are seriously so good for the price. I love having these for Zoom meetings and not having to wear headphones all the time. The sound quality is excellent. I mainly purchased them because they have a hookup for a 3.5mm jack and they're also Bluetooth. I needed that specifically for the Zoom meetings with what I do for work. Buy these if you need speakers. They're worthy.

Not as good as the older gray/silver version without bluetooth. I can turn the older ones up just to 25 and they are pretty loud. These on 25 are very low no matter which connection I choose. I tried all of them, no difference. I bought these for the bluetooth, but I don't think I will continue using them.
