These little suckers rock. The center cable control module is clumsy to get situated - but functions well and has decent sound and enough volume to work in all situations. I use with my dock and a closed laptop - so better sound was a necessity - these did the job quite well.

I am actually quite impressed with the Amazon Basics Bluetooth and USB Computer Speakers. The speakers are actually quite heavy (more so than they appear at first glance). I am also pleased with the sound quality. Certainly, I would not expect speakers of this size and price point to reproduce Concert Hall quality sound and would not plan to use them for watching movies, concerts or other complex sound intensive events. Yes, bass is not a forte for these speakers, but for general PC sound and even some basic music, these are more than adequate. They are capable of playing at near 100% volume without major distortion. For my needs, I typically have the volume set between 50-75%. For this level of sound, these speakers do not disappoint. Available USB ports on my PC are limited, so I opted to plug the USB into an adapter into a wall outlet. I fully expected to need to run an AUX cable in order get the sound from my PC. However, these connected immediately to my PC's Bluetooth and starting playing. So, no cable needed! There are some comments regarding the wired connection between the speakers and the control pod. I personally don't have a problem with that. I placed the speakers on either side of my monitor (see photo) and laid the control pod underneath the monitor. While out of the way, the controller is easily accessible (more so than either of the speakers) to adjust the volume (but I find just using the Sound Mixer option on my task bar to be easier) and control the accent lighting (which is a nice plus for these). 5 STARS AND I DO RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. Easy connect. sound good, not super high fi.. But hey it is for the computer. And even though I have alot of music. My computer is not my stereo.... Fit nice on my desk no complaints.

I don't have a lot of room on my desk, and these are the perfect size to sit under one of my monitor stands. Sound is great and the lights on the bottom are a fun addition.     • Unexpectedly Fantastic for the Cost!
Value is the key and occasionally we find something like these speakers that make us smile. I use them on my Gaming Laptop daily. I like the sound and the ability to separate them far enough apart to feel game immersion as intended. I definitely recommend these.

These speakers fit nicely under my monitor. They have great sound for what I need them for—video meetings. I like the subtle blue lights. Nice manual volume control if needed.     • Not bad, but you get what you pay for.
I knew I was buying cheaper speakers and I was fine with the usual trade offs. They were easy to set up and I had no issues with reliability, but my biggest personal gripe (and the reason I ended up switching) was the lack of fine volume control. Usually in windows if you press the volume up button on a keyboard it increases volume by 2% each press and the speaker get slightly louder. Not these speakers. These speakers would only adjust by multiples of 6% and wouldn't actually increase in loudness until the next multiple. For Example: 2-6% volume (In Windows) would all be the same exact loudness coming from the speakers. Once the volume hit 8-12% (In Windows) there would be a decent jump in speaker loudness and it wouldn't increase again until you hit 14% and so on. VERY annoying for me personally when I wanted to use my speakers late at night and didn't want big swings in loudness. ... show more

What's not to love about these speakers? First of all, let's talk about price. For around 16.00 how can you beat them? I didn't think I would be getting much for that price, but I was wrong. The low-profile look, big sound, and user-friendly controls boasted by these speakers will convince you that you got a bargain deal. My old speakers were clunky, ugly, and took up too much space. I had a cord between the speakers, cord to the computer, and a power cord. It looked like a sloppy mess. With these. That problem is solved with these speakers. My favorite features are the push button volume control and the soothing blue accent light. The cord length is generous enough to be flexible while the portability is certainly there if needed since it draws power from the usb. They look great, they sound great, and they are priced right.
