What can I say?? I am thoroughly disgusted with this purchase! This is an outrage this product is sold and backed by Amazon!!! These batteries are only 4 months old and totally bled out all over my iPad! They ruined the item I was using them in. They seeped all over the counter and all over the charger. Completely destroying everything in their path!!! Nevermind a refund on this purchase, how about Amazon replace my $1,000+ iPad!!!

I try my best to mostly use rechargeable batteries, but a few of my remote controls and small electronics don't like them, so it's back to the old school with this Amazon Basics 20-pack of 1.5 volt AA alkaline batteries that offer very real cost savings over what I'd grown accustomed to from established battery-specific brands. That said, pricing wouldn't mean much if the performance wasn't there. Now that these have been installed in various devices for months on end, I’m excited to report that they absolutely go the distance longevity-wise with any and all of the major battery brands -- they just don’t cost as much. And their 10 year shelf life means I don't have to rush to use them or lose them. Received original and replacement orders of Amazon AA batteries in damaged, opened package. Looks like packages were returned to warehouse then shipped out again. Some batteries damaged and all test less than full charge. Amazon batteries have been listed as good value, but definitely not these AA.

These batteries are such a disappointment!! They are so weak in performance that they seem like they were already used. I used them in my electric toothbrush and it seemed powerless and drained very quickly. Also used in my headlight for couple of hikes and it was so dim that I had to go back to other battery brands. I cannot even return them now as I did not have chance to use them until now and return window already passed. Now I am stuck with this useless pack of 20 - what a waste of money :-(

I enjoyed this batteries and the price. I have not done any measured testing on how long they last. But so far using it on my keyboards and mice have worked well. Also I've used them in my remote controls. They are obviously not rechargable, in case someone is wondering.

The media could not be loaded. Use these all the time. Today i out new batteries (4 AA) in my device. It only worked for a short time. Took them out and out four more in. While doing so, one of the ones I had just removed exploded and started to leak and sizzle all over my work bench. Never had s problem until today. This is a deal breaker due to fire risk.

These cells are great for the MANY toys and little tools and appliances (eg: can opener, clip light) and have a decent long lifespan. The lifespan in Xbox one and Xbox 360 wireless controllers is ok but not great. I’m switching to rechargeable for that to reduce waste anyway. Lifespan in a portable blood pressure monitor is also just ok, not great with about once daily usage. The high drain per use seems to be an issue.
