We just got a 12 week old puppy Shih Tzu and he has done amazing with this playpen. We love it because it doesn't move when he lays up against it. We have wood floors and it adheres to it well because of the silicone bottom. My husband assembled this very quickly and said that it can easily be changed to a smaller pen or a different shape. My parents bought a different one here on Amazon and their puppy shih tzu (same litter) was able to jump over it and they found it cheap, they ended up buying this one too. Buy this one! Even as our puppy grows we know it's tall enough that he won't be able to jump over it. The door is the only slight downside. Be careful when you open it that you fully grab the top and bottom. I can see if you're pulling hard and not fully grabbing it it could easily break. Our 6 year old caught on quickly how to open it properly. We love it!

My dogs crate got to small for her so I purchased this to give her more room very easy to put together no tools required and can be takend down in minutes and transported with u on vacation etc come in 8 panel piece and doesn’t take up any room for travel and know she has a large 5 x5x30high area when put together it is very sturdy please with this product

It was easy to setup and adjust into different sizes and configurations. Super easy to take down and move around and it doesn't take up much room in a car if you need to transport this with you. The rubber feet are awesome and will not scratch our hardwood floors. However, it is not super sturdy depending on the configuration you set it up in. For example, if you set it up as a square you will get a lot of swaying if a dog jumps up on the sides where the two pieces meet. If you set it up in an octagon you don't get as much swaying. There are two cons that you need to be careful of. 1) make sure when you place the rods to join the sections together you do not try and adjust the angles too much or the rods will get stuck. The rods are not round. They are designed to hold the angle between the sections when you setup your pen. If you try and force the two attached section with the rods installed they will get stuck and will be hard to pull out from in-between the sections. Not a big issue you just need to be aware when setting up in the octagon shape. 2) The pen is very light. Our 10 week old golden puppy figured out that she can push under the walls (especially in the corners) and get out. Even if the pen was a little heavier I think our puppy could have done that. It will depend on your dog or whatever you are putting in the pen.

I bought this play yard for my new puppy to give him a safe place to stay and play when I couldn’t be watching him. I crate him at night but didn’t want to restrict him to it during the day. He loves it. I leave the door open during the day even when he is allowed to roam and he goes into the play yard to hang out and play even when he doesn’t need to. I put a small bed in there and he puts himself to bed to nap. Best investment ever. For a mini dachshund puppy, 10 weeks old.

I used this for 7 puppies from about 4 weeks of age. It was lightweight, very easy to assemble, disassemble and move around. The size is a great value for the price and it is perfect for a puppy to a medium size dog. I have very small puppies but they could not fit through the holes and it withstood any chewing they did. I bought this to replace a black wire xpen that I use for my dachshund when he’s having GI issues. I have mixed feelings about it. The pros: it is much more aesthetically pleasing and lighter weight, the joints lock into position so it will hold the shape that you set it up in. It also doesn’t scratch up my floors like the wire one did. And it holds up ok to chewing. I mean, my little old guy only has a few teeth left but he’s tried his best to chew his way out with no luck! Lastly, the door has the ability to be locked in the open position. May not be a big deal for some but his water bowl is in there and with our previous pen, he was constantly getting shut OUT of his pen since it’s in the corner of a common living space of our tiny house. We leave it up 24/7 but only lock him in on occasion when he’s having GI troubles and we leave or go to bed. The cons: First, the price is way more than the sturdier wire pens. It’s a little on the flimsy side. Because it’s light weight, it can be pushed around easily. It does come with rubber stoppers for the bottom and they help but I’m wondering if my dog will figure out how to lift it and go under it at some point. Also, the door requires some attention when latching. Twice now I’ve closed the door and latched it but one of the pins failed to seat into the hole properly and my dog pushed thru it. I now have to wiggle it after latching to make sure it’s actually latched at both top and bottom. It’s on a level surface so it shouldn’t be a struggle but it is unfortunately. And lastly, not a con specific to this pen but I really wish I could find a pen that doesn’t require them to step over a lip to get in and out. Short legged breeds struggle with this and I’ve not found a pen that didn’t have it. My little fella has to jump over it (4-5” tall) and so I have to keep a rug down under the door for traction. All in all, it’s been an ok pen. I still like it better that my previous wire pen but I’m still looking for better!
