  • Excellent Compact Glass
Size: 7x25
I’ve ordered a fair amount of Amazon Basics optical gear in the past and have generally been satisfied with the quality, so I was interested to see how these held up in the field. As a Scoutmaster, an avid backpacker, and a landscape photographer, I use binoculars all the time. These are a solid pair with a weight-to-performance ratio that works well for backpacking or scout trips. The optics are surprisingly sharp, and the 7x magnification is a good middle ground that allows for a clear view without the image jumping around from hand tremors. From a technical standpoint, the BAK-4 prisms and full multi coating (FMC) do a great job of cutting down on glare and keeping the colors vivid even in varying light. For the uninitiated, full multi-coating is the same process that high-end camera lens manufacturers use to maximize image quality, so it's pretty cool to see that used on binoculars at this price point. Overall, it's an excellent, clear image with a very wide field of view. As someone who wears glasses, the ability to dial in the focus for each eye individually is a big plus for maximum clarity, and the diopters on this work great. Unlike a lot of other budget binoculars. If that's been a concern for you with other compact binoculars, these may be a solution. I do also need to make a comment about the eye relief; I spent about an hour thinking it was lacking before I discovered that the eyecups actually twist to extend. It’s a bit different than the standard rubber fold-down style, but once you find that mechanism, it provides about 17mm of relief which makes them very comfortable to use with frames. I'd still prefer proper rubber eyecups, but this twist-up design is a clever, technically sound way to keep the profile compact while still being functional. I probably could have saved an hour if I'd read the manual, but it really isn't an obvious feature. Overall, these are highly recommended. The price, weight, and optical clarity are balanced perfectly. ... show more

  • Compact And Easy To Use
Size: 7x25
I'm fairly impressed by these binoculars and I am excited to use it more often for both travel, outdoor use, and even sporting events. In the package, you get a lanyard, eye cups, a carrying case, cleaning cloth, and the binoculars themselves. I've never owned binoculars before and I think this is a perfect kit. The carrying case is something I really appreciate because it helps storing these binoculars safely during travel. The build quality on these binoculars are surprisingly really good. It doesn't feel cheap at all. All the rotating adjustment knobs feel smooth and premium. For outdoor rugged situations, this wins in the durability department. These are highly adjustable to universally fit anyone. There are days where I use my glasses but days where I use my contacts but the eye cups quick adjust helps to easily switch between the two. It also folds inwards and outwards depending on the PD of your eyes. This is also how you get one image. Then, you adjust the focus depending on what you are looking at. It's very intuitive and easy to pick up fast for beginners. The magnification in this tiny body is very good. It's not incredibly far, but it's good enough, especially for sporting events. I plan to use them when I'm at a sports game to get a closer look at the players if I'm sitting far. Overall, I rate these 5 stars. For the price, you get a high value with these quality binoculars. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Solid Value
Size: 7x25
I want to do more bird watching and when I saw these binoculars, I thought they would be good for that purpose since I don't need anything special. They are a good value for the price as they offer clear views. They are highly adjustable (I tried to illustrate that with the first picture). I also like that you can change the length of the cord that goes around your neck. However, be careful as the end of the cord can slip out. I may tie a knot around the ends to keep that from happening. One other minor negative is that the protective covering over the lenses comes off very easily (second picture). The weight is decent for the size of the pair and I appreciate that it comes with a cleaning cloth and case, especially at this price point. I may get another pair if I want to keep a pair with my camping equipment. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
Size: 7x25
This product is a nice solution for a compact but high quality binocular for your backpack, camping or hunting needs. And for the price it's a great deal.

  • Not Perfect, But Good For The Price
Size: 7x25
Pros: - Sturdy construction/premium feel - Good focal length - Compact/easy to pack - Clear optics Cons: - Eye relief is pretty poor Summary: You can definitely buy better binoculars, but for the money these are a solid choice. Over all they are a good, portable size and have very clear optics with a good focal length. They are easy to pack and fairly light without feeling cheap. My only gripe is the eye relief is not great, but once you get used to it it's not the end of the world. For the price, I really can't complain too much. These are now a permanent fixture in my shooting bag. ... show more
