I'm currently chef de cuisine in a steady volume restaurant, and I needed a new immersion blender. So I bought this because the price was right, and 500w has some 'oomph' to it. I low-key expected this thing to be kind of a throwaway, but after a week of constant, heavy use, i've been pleasantly surprised! I've three sauces and two foams on the line that more or less need constant re-aeration/emulisification before and during service. Pros: -- powerful -- nice, heavy weight (doesn't feel 'cheap') -- easy adjustible speed wheel, and a "turbo" button for the insane person -- detachable head is simple enough, steel easy to rinse off quickly. 8" long, works great -- cord is 5ft long from base to prong -- great price point Cons: -- not cordless (but the cord is long enough that it probably isnt a big deal if you're working smart) -- it is a *little* chonky to keep on the line with it's length, but not terrible. Especially if you keep the head unit detached. -- maybe would have liked a color option, because two of my cooks are now buying this thing ++ It's only been a week of heavy use so far, so time will tell, but so far, thoroughly impressed++ //** UPDATE --02/02/23 -- I've been using this thing several times a day for months now. Still in perect working order, as if it had just come out of the box. Still powerful, still easy to use. No issues. Mind how you wrap the cord (as with any electrical tool), so as not to wear out the cord's connection to the unit. Would 1000% buy again //** // ** UPDATE #2 -- 10/26/23. Still going strong. I got this so I could make mayonnaise in a jar. I made the mayonnaise and it worked well. It was easy to clean and store. Now I can have mayonnaise made with healthy oils. The healthy oils mayonnaise comes at a high price at the grocery store. The purchase of this blender is a good step to saving money on mayonnaise. I'm sure it will come in handy for soups, sauces and other dishes as well.

I use this for soapmaking - think cake batter and thicker. It has lasted about 2 years but now it sounds like the motor is going out. I think it's a good design, easy to use, and the immersion blender stays on well. The blade is still sharp after all this time but it's really only been used on liquids. The design of the blade end is good and doesn't cause any splashing if used properly. I'll probably order the same one again so I can have 2 of the immersion blender attachments to swap out without having to clean the first one if making multiple batches of soap at once. It works well on smaller amounts of liquid (it needs to be immersed a few inches) as well as larger bowls.

The immersion blender that I’ve had for over 15 years completely died. I don’t use often except when I making soups, but I find it so much easier and less mess than when using a blender. As I didn’t need any of the extra attachments I wanted something very basic. This is one of the only options that I could find at a reasonable price and I’m very happy with the purchase. I haven’t used yet, but I tried out the different features. I like the turbo button when I want to just blend some thing quickly at high power and like the other speeds offered. Another great feature is the blade piece detaches for easy cleaning.

Seems heavy and sturdy. Lots of power. I was impressed. But 4 months in and the variable speed power button has stopped working. Now I only have the option for max speed/power. I guess I can still use it, but I really need to be able to adjust the speed of the blender for smaller tasks. I try and go through Amazon's product replacement process but on the last page it just tells me to try the useless troubleshooting guide and doesn't give me the choice to have the product replaced. Guess I wasted $35. Ill buy a name brand next time.
