I’ve always been hesitant to buy store-brand D batteries because the devices that use them—like my high-lumen flashlights and my kid's favorite motorized toys—are notorious battery eaters. However, this Amazon Basics 4-Pack D Cell Alkaline All-Purpose Batteries has completely changed my mind. They perform just as well as the "big name" brands but at a much more reasonable price. 1. Reliable Power for High-Drain Devices I first tested these in a large LED camping lantern during a weekend trip. The light stayed bright for hours on end without that annoying "dimming" you get with cheaper, lower-quality cells. I also put a set into a motorized baby swing that usually drains batteries in a week; these have been going strong for over ten days now with zero signs of slowing down. 2. These D - cell Amazon batteries seem to have a long life and have never leaked in any conditions that I have used them for. Good portable power that works great in some of my specialty clocks and flashlights that use this size of battery, etc. and I will buy more of these as needed. Good price for this number of reliable batteries that stand up well in hot conditions and heat does not seem to bother their output. Good find!

Amazon Basics batteries are my go-to for all the little items I have around the house that require batteries. The shelf life is good and I have never had a problem with them. Once a name brand was on sale and I got them....big mistake!!! They were horrible and not usuable even after returning them twice. I will never deviate away from the Amazon Basics brand again as that was a waste of 3 days of my life. The battery sizes that I use all the time are on auto ship and I have not missed a beat since setting up the auto ship. The value for the money cannot be beat.
