This replaced a CPT-180 Cuisinart toaster that worked just fine. But we like to toast bagels and the Cuisinart simply assigns longer toasting time when you push the bagel button, toasting both sides which you do not want. This toaster only fires up the outside toaster wires when you push the bagel button, ensuring that only the cut side of the bagel gets toasted if you put them in correctly.
