The ottoman came compressed in a roll. The ottoman was inside a plastic bag and more plastic was rolled around it. I unrolled the plastic. After I did that the ottoman began expanding inside the bag. I opened up the bag to get it out. The foam takes 72 to 96 hours to decompress. During that time I flipped the ottoman on all sides occasionally to help the foam expand in all directions. The ottoman is firm and supportive, which is value added for the expense. I do not like to sink into furniture of any kind. It can be used to sit on or rest your feet on. I put it on the long side next to the couch. In this position it makes an ample table top with a bamboo tray [B0FDKRMZG7]. The ottoman weighs 14 pounds and 14.8 ounces. The dimensions are 30.25 x 24.25 x 15.25 inches. It has a line texted cover. The soft cover is natural color. It has a hidden zipper track and covered pull on the bottom with grip dot grey fabric. The cover came stained with 7 black circular spots on the side. I tried to remove the stains with stain remover and they would not come out. The ottoman is a versatile addition to the sitting area in the kitchen. ... show more

Amada sectional ottoman arrived sealed and rolled up, it quickly expanded into shape once the packaging is removed. I’m impressed with the overall size and the quality of the cushioning of the ottoman. It nicely serves as an extension as a leg rest in from of the sofa, as well as a stand along stool for sitting comfortably. The velvety soft corduroy and the light/ cream color looks very nice and would go well with a lot of different colors of furnitures. This rather large forbidden tofu, in which I shall now nickname it, came in a surprisingly small box. It at first comes in a very compressed roll but once open, it automagically expands to what I could best describe as the aforementioned forbidden tofu. This giant white fluffy behemoth boasts a respectable 2x3 foot shape and generally retains its shape after sitting on it for a decent amount of time, but I’m not a fan that it’s a little TOO soft in some cases. Just resting my feet on there sinks down much more than I’d like to. However, it also is incredibly light to move around when you need it to, making it somewhat more of an appeal to those with mobility issues. The only complaint I have about it is longterm durability, as the material of the cover seems to easily stick onto my sweatpants and soft after utilizing it. This isn't the worst quality ottoman, but the problem is that it's not really furniture -- in essence it's a large firm pillow. Unfortunately, you'd think it would be cheaper than a regular ottoman, but you'd be sorely mistaken. The main "cube" is made of thick memory foam so it's compressed tightly at first. Once you remove it and let it fully expand (for 72+ hours according to the instructions), it's just a big pillow. I'd consider this something for a basement game-room, but it's not something I'd put in the living-room. One could argue that you're just resting your feet on it, but it just doesn't compare to a typical ottoman that is made with wood and legs to go with a similarly built sofa/chair set. To be fair, the cover material is soft and thick, and the bottom has a sort of non-skid surface, which might be nice for hardwood floors. My biggest cause for concern is the current price of $200 for what is essentially a bean-bag 2.0 chair. I think this is part of a set of furniture, where the chairs and sofa are all made out of memory foam. I don't know what kind of support that would be, but I can see it working in a college dorm or a for kids. It definitely shouldn't cost more than a standard ottoman, though. There are mattresses that are made of memory foam that are very similar to this. They're made as a budget option instead of the high price of an innerspring mattress. But those mattresses are typically only 20%-30% of the price. To sum up, it's not worth it at the current $200 price. You can buy a traditional ottoman for less than that. Still, like I said before, this isn't an awful quality and it didn't have the smell that is associated with some memory foam products -- and for that I'd say it's worth about 3 stars. ... show more
