    • Great portable bar with great knurling
This works great for me. I love that I can take it apart and it’s portable unlike other long bars. I for some reason really like the knurling. I would say it’s like finer grit sandpaper compared to other barbell knurling, but it grips the hand really really well. And I just like the feel. It feels more dry. I wish the knurling went all the way to the ends though. The bar is also a little bit thicker than the X3F bar, which I found nice for chest press, and other push pushing exercises. I have paired it with a travel bar from a different company that is 28 mm which is less thick than both of those bars. I use that for dead lift and other pull exercises. The other thing to note is instead of having ball bearings it just has the hooks spinning freely inside of another steel sleeve. And it’s a little bit squeaky and there’s a little bit more friction. You might want the friction for exercises where you feel like the bar is gonna roll out of your hand otherwise. But if you want it to be smoother, you can unscrew the hooks and spray lithium grease into those sleeves, careful to not get it on the threads and it will become smoother than ball bearings and be quieter. I also put a little blue thread lock on the screws for the handles only. I might’ve put a little too much, but it worked too well, so I had to use adjustable pliers to get them off. Then once I unscrewed it and screwed it back in and got some of the thread lock out it I could unscrew it by hand again. So it might help if you find the screws for the hooks getting loose every now and then, but I would use very little. I didn’t really find that to be much of a problem anyway. I just tried to thread lock just in case. For how inexpensive this bar is it’s a really great bar. And I haven’t had any problems with bending or durability or anything like that so far. I’ve been using it for a few months. And I use it for heavy band movements. ... show more

    • The Best Bang for you Buck
This is a top notch bar. I’ve ordered a few of these “knock-off” x3 and this one takes the cake. With a little bit of WD-40, this bar rotates like a breeze. I was a little concerned about the durability of the bar and hooks but I’ve been using it for a couple weeks and putting it under strain of the heaviest Tribe band (upwards of 400lbs when doubled up) and it hasn’t even flinched. No buckling, no caving, and no problems unscrewing the whole thing in under a minute. The knurled bar provides a great grip, the bar itself is the perfect width, and it the hooks fit every size band I have. I haven’t used the heavy duty Geku bands yet, but if you want a high quality, high intensity workout and don’t want to spend $700+ on the x3 system, this new bar from Gekufit is the way to go. ... show more

    • Fantastic bar with great upgrades
I own the original black Geku resistance band bar, and have gotten TONS of value out of it. A great X3 dupe for literally 1/12 of the cost. My only real gripe with that original was that the hooks were a little small for wide bands. I also didn't love that the sections of bar weren't the same sizes when you break it down. Seemed like symmetrical sections would make way more sense for travel. This upgraded aluminum bar addresses both of these issues super well. The larger hooks easily accommodate wider bands, and I feel more confident when doing heavy moves like squats or deadlifts. It's the same length as the original, which is great. This one also breaks down to 3 even pieces that fit very nicely into the included travel case!! Big win. ... show more

Geku Fit's newest aluminum bar is by far the best resistance band bar on Amazon. I've purchased practically every resistance band bar on Amazon that uses a hook and Geku's original resistance band bar was the best one in terms of strength, durability and smoothness of use. Geku's original resistanced band bar was not perfect though in that the original hook size could have been slightly larger and it had some rough edges where the hooks are bent. I've never had an issue with it tearing a band but I was always concerned these sharper corners would wear down my bands over time. This new aluminum bar completely eliminates those problems. The hooks are rounded off smoothly with no rough edges and the hooks are also larger. I've done deadlifts with a reputable band that has a range of 90-230 lbs and the bar has been rock solid. The knurling feels great and it really feels like I'm using a bar you would find at a commercial gym. While being pretty happy with the original Geku bar, I was always still interested in the very expensive resistance band bars sold outside Amazon that easily cost 5x-10x as much. After purchasing this Geku aluminum bar, I no longer have any interest in those other bars. Update: March 16, 2025 - After working up to doing stronger banded deadlifts, the original hooks from my purchase had started to bend open slightly a couple months ago. I reached out to Geku and they informed me they upgraded this product with new stronger hooks and I can confirm that the newer stronger hooks have not bent at all even using the strongest band I own for a deadlift (orange heavy rated 110-330 lbs). ... show more

I’ve been using the GEKU FIT Aluminum Resistance Band Bar (3-section detachable) for a while and it’s been great. The aluminum feels sturdy and truly heavy-duty, and the three-piece design makes it easy to pack and store without feeling flimsy when assembled. The connections fit tightly, so there’s no annoying wobble during pulls or presses. The grip is comfortable in the hands, and the attachment points are smooth and well-finished, so they don’t chew up the bands. This collapsible band exercise bar is well worth the investment. I use it with both my loop bands and my tube bands. Everything fits together nicely, and it is a high-quality. I really like the thicker bar with more grip than the old style. It’s very versatile piece of equipment and you can do many exercises with it.
