I have a lab and a jack russell. I was worried the doors would be too hard for the little one to open. They open easy and are light weight. They have solved my problem of her chewing on the dog door flaps. The 98 lb. lab has been able to fit thru the large just fine. I can't wait to see how it holds up to the Iowa winters and the wind. The door faces west and I have the issue of them blowing open in snow storms. So far, it hasn't blown open during the summer storms. It was easy to install.

Purchased because I liked the styling and bi-fold design, and was hoping it would seal better than my previous door. Unfortunately it tends to not close all the way, leaving a huge gap that I have to go back and give the door a little kick to get to close. Could use stronger (maybe adjustable?) springs or powerful magnets to close properly. *Edit* The manufacturer was kind enough to promptly message me and offer a repair, so added a star for customer service.

I got this dog door to replace an old plastic one that had discolored and warped from the sun and weather. The quality of this door from Pataplus is fantastic – it's made from sturdy aluminum, and the panels are thick. We really like the bi-fold doors, too. It took a little while for our dogs to get the hang of it, but now they seem to prefer it over the old flap door – probably because they can see through it. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the included template. I had the old door out, a bigger hole cut, and the new door installed in about 30 minutes. So far, we haven't had any issues with leaks or strong winds blowing the doors open during bad weather, but there are locking pins to help with that and for security. It also comes with two slide-in panels for extra security and weather protection. Overall, this is an excellent dog door. The one I ordered is pretty big, so make sure you measure your door or wall space before ordering. I'm thinking about getting another one for my workshop. Highly recommend this product.

This large pet door is very nice. I like how sturdy it feels. I also like that it has multiple locking options which include panels on each side of the door and locks for the flap doors themselves. It is a decent size and the template provided was a great boon to the installation process.

I have yet to install this, however at first glance this does show high quality constructions, it looks really nice, especially with the black color. It come with the template and all that is needed for installation, insert is aluminum and it is definitely better then other brands plastic doggy door. It is a bit more pricey than competitors however with the quality of this one I feel as it is worth it and will last long.

This is an exceptional quality piece. The great question is, is it worth the price. I think so. But it is very expensive. I was able to get it free of charge and I installed it in a test wall I was building to demonstrate some other products I am reviewing soon. I have zero cost in it and I love it. I am not sure how I would feel If I paid several hundred dollars for it. But it is a quality piece that is fairly easy to install, and is very easy on the eyes if not the pocketbook. If you can afford it, I can highly recommend it.

We have a sunroom that leads to our backyard and our dogs love to hang out in that room but we have had to keep the door open 100% of the time -- which we really would like to avoid. This has allowed our 2 Huskies to come and go as they please and it is large enough to accommodate their chunky (probably mostly hair, of course) frames. We took out one of the screens in a bottom section and then was easily able to just frame the dog door into the section. The installation was easy and we like how the final look. It is a nicer doggy door than we have found elsewhere so we feel like we got a good one here. One of our dogs was able to figure out the door but it took some coaxing on our other one. However, he is a food-driven dog so offering treats helped him overcome his nervousness after a bit.
