Get this to the correct humidity is almost impossible & you definitely don’t want to fill that whole water bottle up. It’s not a slow drip like I assumed it would be since everyone said how well it maintained temp & humidity. The built in candler is helpful but instructions getting it set up properly we’re practically nonexistent. I’m glad I bought a separate hygrometer otherwise I probably would have drowned the ducklings in their shells before they even hatched. Spare yourself the never ending battle between way too much humidity & way too little. The temp was always off by one or two degrees as well. Saving a few extra bucks on the cost is not worth the stress & hassle. ... show more

Full disclosure, I've had two of these. On the first one, the automatic rotator feature didn't work and I was struggling to figure out why. You can test it by holding down the far right temperature button on the top panel. Mine didn't move but made a sort of motor whirring noise. Contacted the seller, sent back the unit, they shipped a new one out very quickly. The new one works perfectly. Temperature reading is in whole degrees, with about 1 degree variability. There is a small water tank/bottle for adding humidity to the enclosure but it's not measured or controllable. You can add more water inside and you'll likely see condensation forming up. For my hatching needs, more humidity is not a bad thing so I just add water until I see a little condensation. The racks are adjustable so you can use this incubator for different size eggs, up to duck/goose egg size. The candler is not super impressive but it is a nice feature if you just want a ballpark idea of what is growing and what isn't. It won't do anything for darker colored eggs, you'll just be left guessing. ... show more

This was my first time ever incubating eggs (Quail). I had it overloaded with about 30 eggs had roughly 10 to hatch. Not bad for the first try and use of machine. I was disappointed with the humidity aspect. It only has a place to hook water up- it does not have a gage to show humidity level. I had to buy that separately. The reviews that are bad for this product is from someone clearly trying to get a refund or something free. This incubator is awesome!! It works great and as it should!! Very simple to setup and get going. So thankful for the incubation periods for all the different types of eggs that also comes with it. I have now about 6 incubators and they are all great but so far this one is one of my favorites as it’s just so simple!! Highly recommend!! Also, it’s my first time as an adult having my own farm and just starting getting eggs from one female duck and have a drake too and she has given me over 20 eggs (rescued Rouen ducks) and I just bought 6 young adult chicks and 6 couple day old chicks. Hoping to have all of my incubators going at once here soon!! ... show more
