Like others said, it came shipped in a box. That was actually very convenient for me being that I live on the second floor of an apartment building. The box fit more easily in the elevator and into the doorway than it would have if it were assembled. It comes in 6 pieces - the long bottom part, 3 seat backs which slide easily into the bottom, and 2 "ears", which slide onto the sides of the seat backs. The assembly is a breeze, even though the included instructions aren't especially clear. It took me a minute to figure out that the "ears" slide onto the seat backs and lock into place. The couch itself is very comfy! The arms and headrests are plush, and the cushions are soft but firm enough that you don't completely sink into them. The recliner has 2 stages, the first brings out the leg rest and the second reclines further back. The seats are pretty flat, so it's good for laying down across it as well. Can't think of anything bad to say about it, I'm very happy with this couch! Updated: Ok, I can say two bad things about it. Still not changing my rating though because this is a nice couch for the price. First thing is, some people might not like the reclining mechanism. It pops out very fast, and can be difficult to close. It doesn't bother me, but it has bothered guests. Secondly, the area where you put your feet after it reclines is a bit flimsy. I broke mine on one side after leaning on it. It's just foam cushion held by thin fabric and a zipper. I stuffed the cushion back in and duct taped it, and it's holding up fine. We just got this loveseat today, and wow! I'm very impressed. Assembly requires no tools and took less than 15 minutes for my husband and myself, we're reasonably intelligent people who had no problem reading instructions and sliding things in to place. They made a satisfying click when properly fitted so we know they are secure! The loveseat is cushy and comfortable, the console cubby is quite a lot deeper than I expected it to be (woohoo, more space!) with plenty of room for several large game controllers as well as remotes. The cup holders are a generous width and would fit something larger than the pint glasses I have in it now. Recline works well and goes close to flat if I want it to. The foot rest does not naturally come up quite all the way but if you recline the back or simply boost it along with your foot on the side it comes right up to near flat. The fabric is soft and has a great nap to it, and the cushioned arms are really comfortable. I'm sitting on it now writing this review! I love this couch :) The width of each seat is more than adequate as well for my less than narrow hips. ... show more

I bought this in December 2013. It was just what I wanted, comfortable, convenient with it's cup holders and storage space. I loved it and would have given it 5 stars until a little more than a year later. In February 2015, the springs started popping on the seats. It started to get very uncomfortable and I thought I'd try to fix that somehow, but never got around to it. By July 2015 both seats seams began to rip and last week, a bar that connects to one of the foot rests broke. This was all through normal use in less than two years. I know that for less than $1000 it was pretty inexpensive, but I didn't think it would be so cheap to last only a year. The pictures show the tear with the springs popping out, the tilt of the couch because of the broken piece underneath, and the broken piece underneath. ... show more

3.5 stars. Pros: Center console Seat cushion (it's firm) Overall look of this love seat. Cons: No lower back support, this is especially evident when you recline When you extend the leg rest, the back reclines with very little effort. I sometimes want to just put my legs up, not lay down. The back goes all the way down without a whole lot of effort when you extend the leg support. You're face with either a chair, or a totally reclined recliner with poor lower back support. All the other padding save the seat padding is too soft. Overall, I'd have a hard time recommending this. It's ok, but now that I have it I do not think I will buy the matching couch. ... show more

I purchased the glider loveseat with console on August 1, 2014. If you had asked me when it first arrived, I would have given it four stars. It was very comfortable, and seemed like it was well built. My only complaint, would have been that it is very difficult to close the foot rest. Six months later, however the center cushion of one of the foot rests fill out. We tried several times to shove it back in, but eventually just gave up and didn't really do anything about it. Now two years later, in the same portion of the couch, a spring has popped loose where you sit. We are now sitting on a lump. This is certainly not comfortable! Unfortunately, when I contacted the manufacturer (which was really hard to do because funding the number was not easy! I've included it at the bottom of this review) she literally told me that because it's been two years there's nothing they can do. She also stated, "yes, well that happens." When I informed her that I was going to be leaving a negative review on Amazon, her tune changed. She tried to direct me to a local store to purchase replacement parts. She could not find a local store in my zip code, so tried to direct me to a whole sale store in Texas. They, however, directed me right back to the manufacturer. So I guess we're out of luck. The couch is comfortable and looks quite nice, but just did not last. So I cannot say that I would recommend. Below is the number for the manufacturer in case you would also like to make a complaint.
