Very easy to install. Put off changing it longer than I should have. A slight bit looser on the pivot bolt than OEM alternator, but once tightened up works just fine. It's been running for a bit over a month now - about 200 miles or so without any issues. No warning lights and the battery is staying charged. Good value, and no core charge, so still have the OEM alternator for local rebuild if I need it. I'm at about 245,000 miles now so just seeing how long I can keep her running without breaking the bank. ... show more

Bought this because everything I saw kept pointing to a bad alternator. This fit right into place without a problem, and wouldn't you know it, the battery light is gone! So far I'd absolutely recommend it.

Wow am I happy I decided to go with these folks product. I was a little hesitant because the shipping was not Prime but to my surprise it was even FASTER! I ordered and it said it would be 3-5 days but it shipped that same day and arrived early the next morning. The only way it could be faster is if a drone dropped it off. The alternator was as described, a beautiful looking unit. Installed it in about 15 mins. This part came with a printout from the bench test too! It read 14.56 volts on my meter after install, exactly what the bench test printout said. Phenomenal service, shipping and part. I would definitely buy again. I might buy an extra just to have as a spared because they were so inexpensive. Great so far, will report back in a year on how it's running. ... show more

Fit my '04 FXT like a glove. Was a little worried based on early ('16-'17 reviews), but buying new from DB Electrical turned out great. They supplied a great computer test printout with the alternator which was helpful, and the QA/QC seems to have improved substantially since those early reviews. Comes with the nut and washer for the electrical connection (under the red cap) which was a nice touch. Does exactly what you ask it to: fit great, spins nice by hand, turned the battery light off immediately, doesn't explode. Great value for the money. Plus, no core charge! ... show more

Don’t understand the big fuss about everyone dragging these products through the dirt. Dropped one of these alternators into a 2000 Subaru legacy outback and it still runs like a dream. Don’t overthink the process, buy the part and if it doesn’t work return it. I bet they have more than enough to replace a faulty one, if for some off chance you get one. ... show more

I bought this because I thought it was reman from east tn , when arrives I see made in China on box.. it didn't work at all , car was 100 miles away at my kids college in Chattanooga, battery died again the 1st time he drove it, following weekend took volt meter.. checked everything, .. then bought another at O'Riley's . And car is fixed , after driving an extra 200 miles because of this Chinese garbage ... show more

This is a nice alternator. It works well. I tested it before installation for output and cut-in and it was perfect. It was easy to install on my 2000 Subaru Outback, being right on top, and easy to get to. Always remember to disconnect your negative battery cable first then the positive before working on any automotive electrical item. ... show more
