The alternator test at Oreilly and Autozone was showing it was not charging, bad alternator. that's why i bought this alternator from Amazon. the price at Oreilly or Autozone was $ 100 higher. Anyway, when i took out the original Lexus alternator i took it for test, it passed. later I found it was pigtail connector had a lot of build up. I did not want to return the alternator.     • Good but not exactly as expected
I ordered for a 2000 lexus rx300. Observed the pulley was noticeably bigger than my old alternator but decided to proceed. It made the install of the belt very difficult. I had to remove the pivot bolt to get the belt over the pulley and reinstall. Keeping my old pulley in case I ever have to remove or replace the belt again in the future. ... show more

Looks exactly like original but shield on back sticks out further existing alternator on car now. Alternator not fit because of this hits ac unit. Purchased one from parts house much smaller shield.
