I can testify that the mattress is very comfortable. My toddler has had stomach issues since he was 3 weeks old and I lost a lot of sleep trying to get him to sleep in his crib. Finally we moved and bought this futon and I started trying to get him to lay down with me so I could get some sleep (he was over a year old at this point and I was exhausted). My husband has to wake up at 4am so sleeping in a room together wouldn't work well with him getting ready as our son is a very light sleeper (another reason why I was so exhausted). Then our son started getting ear infections regularly which led to getting tubes and other infections/colds almost weekly. After sleeping on this futon for almost 2 years - I can say it has held up very well and is more comfortable to me than the $800 mattress in the bedroom. I will need to purchase another mattress due to my son pulling up the mattress protector at night and sleeping under it then peeing through his diaper. I just can't get the pee smell out unfortunately. The only bad thing about this was the assembly. There are youtube instructions, but at times even they were difficult to follow. We got it together obviously, however; it took 3 hours and taking some stuff apart and putting it back together again. I'd buy another, next time the one with drawers :) ... show more

It is full size yes but there isn't a lot of sit area because it doesn't sit at 90°. I am not a small person. But I would say it is nice quality. They did a good job making sure it is stable but I am worried about the front beam breaking.

Once the mattress arrived I was pleased with the product. It’s very sturdy and easy to fold flat for sleeping. The mattress has been slept on once and was reported to be comfortable. I’m very pleased with the product however they need to change their customer service phone number. When i called this number it was not Bison. It was a recording targeting Medicare age callers. After listening to all their offers via a recording no one from Biison was answered. ... show more

We bought this for extra seating in our living room, but first we put it in a small spare room as a guest bed for visiting relatives. The little side tables on the armrest easily flip down, so this fit perfectly in the small space we needed it temporarily. I was impressed with the quality of both the mattress and the frame, it is very sturdy and the wood is nice. As you can see both of my pets love to sit on it. Our brother-in-law used it as a bed when he was visiting from out of state and he liked it so much that he is going to buy one for his guest room as well. I would definitely buy from this seller again, this was delivered much quicker than estimated, and was in perfect condition. The only thing is, it was difficult to assemble and took a long time. So some level of experience is necessary. We got the gray one but it looks blue in the second picture because of the lighting. In person, it is the exact color we ordered. I would recommend this futon, and I am excited about moving it to its place in the living room, so we can enjoy watching movies on it in front of the fireplace this winter! ... show more

Nice futon, solid wood, though feels a little weak like it might not last long. Mattress is comfortable and it turns into a bed fairly easy. Now the bad. Assembly could've been better, after getting 3 bolts into assembly I found that there were 3 missing nut inserts that are installed at the factory and since I was assembling it on a Friday night and customer service wouldn't be at the office until Monday morning I replaced the nut inserts myself with parts from the hardware store. The brackets installed at the factory were not in line with the boards so I had to loosen the screws when I attached the boards or the whole assembly would be twisted and then tighten them afterwards. Instructions told me to put the bolts in and tighten and then put a cap into the hole and then the next page says to keep everything loose until the next step was finished which meant prying the caps out of the holes and loosening everything. Hardware is functional but cheap, had to make sure that everything threaded before using it, there were burrs in the threads. Some of the holes were not fully drilled out needing a screwdriver to clean the hole out before hardware could be installed. After assembly and getting mattress out of the box and unwrapped I found a tear in the mattress now that it's nearly impossible to return. Hopefully the manufacturer will address these issues here or when I call them. I'll update when that happens. ... show more
