At the bottom of this picture you'll see a silvery insert. You may need to tap this out (i.e. to the left) a little to leave a big enough gap to install this. Note that when you then install it, the bolt will pull the silvery insert back to the precise location. I ended up putting the pulley in the belt and then slacking the belt tensioner as I installed, rather than removing the belt, because the belt tensioner would not relieve enough slack to install the belt after the alternator is installed. There are videos on installing these that don't mention these tips. These tips would apply to any alternator supplier, not just this one.     • This Worked on My Camry After Doing a Slight Modification
It doesn't contain any screws so make sure you don't lose your old ones. Also, my main bolt didn't fit this part so I had to swap out the main mounting nut for my old one.

Failed in less than a year, and very few miles. I replaced it with a model from a local auto parts store which has been going strong. For some reason this alternator was much lighter than the original or the replacement. ==Original review== Was easier to install than expected on my 2007 Scion tC. The original lasted 307k miles. This is outputting 14.25v and working fine. Looks like the original. I only have 30 miles on it, but not driving much these days. I’ll update this post if I find any problems. ... show more

Pretty good replacement for the oem alternator, perfect fit, was reading a little over 14 volts after the install, so all seems good for now, but like other reviews have mentioned only time will tell now I guess.
