My alternator was making some crazy noises on my Jeep Patriot. I definitely needed a replacement. Purchased this one my mechanic threw it in and everything is working just fine, perfect fit and car running smooth again. Update: changed my review to one star. This alternator started burning up few days ago. Didn't last more than 5 months. Bought a better alternator, when my mechanic pulled this one out the coils were all black.
