on a 2015 f150 5.0 the alternator works ok for 50 miles but the pcm eventually chimes in on dash displaying check charging system every 5 minutes. The alternator is still charging but these modern monitoring systems must not like "noisy" electrical signals? this is my second try with different generic alternators here and NO joy. Locally sourced rebuilt alternator fixed issue for good. ... show more
