Like many of you, I viewed this product with great skepticism. "25g protein equi, <30 calories, 1 scoop, easy mix", fake news / nonsense I say! However I decided to give it a shot. Also, like many of you, it's because I need a high protein intake without the calories, endless chicken and goopy protei
n powders. Did I mention I'm on a cut (low calories)... Did I mention I lift bro??? If any of this remotely applies to you, read on. Does it taste good? The Exotic Peach is really nice. Yes. Does it have an after taste? For me, yes. It's horrid. HORRID. "BCAA Breath" is what I've been told. Brush your teeth w/ mouthwash afterwards. Do it. Does it give you a "boost"? I mean, if you are super deficient in B-Vitamins, or food, sure, at first. Little "umph". Does it work? I've been lifting, hard, for >8 weeks now, with this counting as 25g/ protein/ scoop, @120-140g protein per day target on myfitnesspal. Ok, Dude, Did it work?? The answer is yes. I've gained visible muscle, increased my lifts, and lowered my body fat slightly. Texture? Grainy, but with 12oz+ water per scoop, its not anymore, mostly... Some residual grains no matter how hard and fast you stir. Smell? When it's not in your mouth / throat, it smells like peach rings. No joke. Stomach Upset? None at all, whether its consumed fasted or not. Nasty burps? None at all either, which was a HUGE win for me (Certain I'm not "jiving" with dairy...) Nasty farts? None. Nasty Pee, Poop, anything in between? Nope. Again, this is great, as many protein powders and meat sources made this... a challenge. Let's stop the Q/A there. No, the <product name here> didn't lower my body fat, Dieting (Calorie Deficit), Lifting (Weights... at a gym) and Rest (8 hours sleep each night) did. Over a 2 month period, with the plan being to continue this for a few more months. I'm not an amateur, I've been cut/bulk cycling for years and have developed a good amount of strength and mass. What's weird with this product is its a total love hate relationship I'm having.... I love that I am actually getting the same, if not superior, results as if I was consuming 2x25g or 3x25g of "Real Protein" every day, but instead I'm substituting with this. However, the taste in powdered form gets old - fast. And so does the after taste. The reason I am still giving this 5 stars is because it's actually legit. Typically, nasty breath syndrome warrants a -1 star, but not this time for all reasons listed above. Take what you will out of this. No, I'm not a marketing engineer or paid by anyone - I just wish someone posted a meaningful review on here with details and after 200+ other reviews, I just did NOT see that. Come on buyers, enough with the 1 sentence reviews. Yeah, you know who you are. Stop it. Conclusion - Need a 25g or near protein-equivalent in your diet? Want to keep it low calorie? Are your kidneys experiencing problems, or body / gut / etc. as well... from consuming all of those Whey, Casein, Chickens, Tunas and Beefs? Try this. It may work for you, it may not. It worked for me, and I'll keep purchasing it. I hope you enjoyed this review. EDIT January 23rd, 2018 :::: So, I wanted to follow up on this and post some results. First of all, I have re-ordered multiple times - Pineapple and Peach Mango are my absolute FAVORITE. To those of you who like Strawberry Kiwi and the rest, ya'll need to check yourselves, that flavor is nasssssty. Anyways. I purchased this October 20, 2017. I am 5'7, Male, Age [25-32]. Weight: 184.6 Lbs Body Fat: 26.2% Muscle Mass: 41.3% Bone Mass: 8% Rest: Water Weight Now, here are my stats (with visible, impressive muscle gain on a hypertrophy focused training programme, with -5% to +5-10 (workout day vs not)% calories "zig zagging / body recomposition" day per day, note this is almost exactly 3 months later: Weight: 191.2 Lbs Body Fat: 25% Muscle Mass: 42.8% Bone Mass: 8% Rest: Water Weight Now, I want to stress that I legitimately counted every single scoop of this in MyFitnessPal, where each scoop was a 25g of protein amount weighed out on the scale. I had 2x to 3x scoops a day to maintain my calorie targets and protein targets (50g-75g / day). The result is, again with my specific lifting and diet plan over 12~ weeks: 184.6 Lbs ---> 191.2 Lbs, where my body fat % went down by a percent, but more importantly, my muscle percentage not only stayed the same - it increased. This translates directly into a ~2.5-3 (range to account for error in measurements) pounds of increased muscle mass per month for 3 months, with a slight loss in body fat, but overall figure improved. My next experiment will be "Summer Shredding 2018", where starting March 15 2018, the goal will be to go into a -15% to -20% daily caloric deficit, while using HumaPro as a 2x-3x scoop a day protein source. Up until March, however, I will go from "recomp mode" to "lean gains" mode, meaning the acceptance of gaining 1-2% body fat in the hopes of upping my muscle mass more before the bit cut season. If you are reading this, I hope this was helpful. PS - No headaches, pain, or any strange nonsense like that. I have gone a few days, on and off, without HumaPro with no negative effects. I wish I was more consistent, perhaps I would have had a little more mass gain. EDIT SEPTEMBER 2018:::: All right folks. Here is my final long-term, sustained use verdict: This is good stuff. Now, I went and got one of those full body composition scans to compare against my scale. They are actually +/- 2-5% apart, which is interesting. Here is the result of the scan after summer shredding 2018 (#GuzSquad) and then going into a lean bulk since then. Weight: 195.9 Lbs Body Fat: 22.2% Muscle Mass: 44.6% Bone Mass: 8% ( Even as I age a year, bone mass is consistent, thanks #MilkLife ) Rest: Water Weight During my cut, I did 2x Scoops a day. Afterwards, when I lean bulked, I did 1x Scoops a day with an extra scoop right after my workouts as an experiment. Overall, I'm surprised this is so sustainable long term. I suspect the calorie claims may be a little more "traditional" than the vendor admits though, but whether its 5 calories, 120 or anything in between, doesn't matter. Like anyone who likes mixing powders, I started throwing in BCAA 2:1:1 + Collagen Peptides Type 1 and 3 in my shaker, sometimes a Pump or Pre-Workout product too. Honestly, if you can't stand this, give it a shot with Collagen Peptides mixed in. The good ones which are flavorless. It makes it nice, smooth and yummy, with the benefit of the new thing mixed in. More palatable. What I do want to talk about is the ... HORRID. AWFUL. TERRIBLE. HUMA. PRO. BREATH. I'm going absolutely insane over this, but I accidentally (No, For Real, Read Up) stumbled upon something that works well. When I was sick the last few weeks, I felt the need to level up my Vitamin-C game. I added some Camu Camu powder, the orange-tangy-looking one they sell on here and shook it all up (vigorously) along with the HumaPro and the Collagen. IT'S A MIRACLE. THE BAD BREATH IS ALMOST ENTIRELY GONE. 1/2 a Tsp, almost entirely. 1 Tsp, entirely. Now, I'm writing an update to a fitness product, not cross-linking the others. You can copy me and give it a shot, or not. Up to you. But, overall, I've decided to continue using this long-term 1x a day, 2x when I need it, and 3x during lean-cutting prep time. That works for me, and mixing in other powders and supplements on and off keeps it interesting, as well as mixing up the flavors. "Why Drink Water... Without Taste?". I'm not sure what my day to day life and my workouts would look like without huma pro. Honestly, I kind of need to know after using it for so, so long. If you are at all interested, I WILL update this in the next 3 months with my findings and anecdotal feedback, as I am going to wrangle myself off of it and find out for myself. My fear is that aside from the "Human Perfect Blah Blah Mixture" that has been working out great for my gains and such, there are other minerals and additives that are not disclosed or fully understood, that are playing a role here in my "Good Feel" day to day. Anyways, final "Assessing getting off this stuff" review, see ya'll for my final update in December/January.
