The KTA-200M Mono Power Pack Amplifier produces 400-watts of Alpine’s Exclusive Dynamic Peak Power for big subwoofer power in a small space. With Alpine’s exclusive tech, Dynamic Peak Power (D.P.P.), KTA-30MW is sure to deliver bass output for subs used in those open cab vehicles and toys. This tiny amp can be installed with an aftermarket or factory head unit, resulting in up to 4x the power increase over the head unit's built-in power. Add higher output and more dynamic response with this easy-to-install Universal Power Pack upgrade. The KTP-445A amplifies output on select 2005 and newer Alpine head units, resulting in up to a 150% power increase over the head unit's built-in amp. I ordered this with the Alpine ILX-W670 and what a difference it made! I tried the W670 by itself first without the amp and then connected the amp and it made a BIG difference in sound quality and detail. I installed it in a 2018 Nissan Titan with Infinity speakers. I already had the Maestro RR module, so I just had to add one connector to it (supplied with the Maestro) and re-flash it to retain the steering wheel controls. Watch some videos on how to install the amp and how to configure the Crossover/4-Channel/RCA settings and it's pretty straightforward. I had to cut the speaker wire connection on the Maestro harness (Idatalink Maestro Acc-HU-ALP1) for the W670 and connect the speaker wires from the amp to the wires going to the speakers. I paired this amplifier with an ILXW650 Headunit in my 04 IS300 bypassing the factory amplifier and powering JBL speakers and tweeters and OMG this setup beats most entry level premium audio packages in even newer cars. The small footprint and close proximity to the headunit significantly simplifies the install and really enriches the audio experience. Sure, you’re not hitting ridiculous db levels or winning any competitions, but for a daily driver, this punches above its weight class. Highly recommend. ... show more

Impressive for it's sizes, running in bridged mode 2channel output for a cargo van with Focal component speakers. Gain is set at the lowest setting as it's plenty of power and headroom connected to a Sony XAV-AX6000 headunit. It's so much more powerful that I can play at full volume with no distortion. I high passed out the low 50hz and below to remove that from the speakers, highly recommend. This fits easily next to the radio in the dash for easy wiring. ... show more

    • Amazing sound, great bang for your buck!
I used to do mobile audio and alarm installation so i have extensive knowledge on the subject. Alpine makes EXCELLENT products, always have, and still do. This amp was added in my 2014 honda pilot which i wanted to keep the stock head unit. It has alpine type R separates in all 4 doors and this little amp now powers them and it sounds AMAZING. I had the speakers connected to the stock deck since i bought the car new in 2014 and i was really missing out. Highly recommended- its paired it with the audio control LC7i PRO. Sounds absolutely astonishing for the amount spent on everything. If you're looking to keep the install simple and nothing crazy, this is a great option.     • Powerful and good sound quality
Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is really sensitive to noise. I tried everything to eliminate the background noise but I can’t seem to get rid of it. It’s not obtrusive or anything, so I just live with it.

    • Make sure you buy an extra warranty
Sounded great for a couple years and suddenly a channel went out. I thought maybe the pre amp on the head unit went bad. Switch everything around and definitely channel out. Luckily I bought the 3 year asurion warranty and it was still covered. They offered to repair and I sent it in but was informed it couldn’t be fixed and received a refund through Amazon as a gift card. ... show more
