Did a lot of research and shopping around for a tall tiered fountain to place in an open corner space of the backyard as the "centerpiece" of our backyard makeover and this fountain fit the bill perfectly. The size was just right for our needs, the price was good and delivery was fast and on time. Set up was fast and easy, and though it would've been easier with 2 people I was able to unbox and move it into place by myself. After a quick inspection (found no cosmetic damage at all), getting it into position, hooked up the pump to the hose and ensured all the LED light connections were tight and secure, filled with water, (the directions suggest using distilled water to lessen scaling, but I just used tap water from the hose and added water conditioner), plugged it in and voilà, everything worked perfectly including all the LED lights. The good: the fountain looks fabulous, the flow rate is excellent, the waterfall sound is soothing without being overpowering, the 5 LED lights are situated in the bottom of the tiered bowls and lights up the water as it flows from one tier to the next. Some things to consider for your needs: There is the tiniest amount of splashing but very little, which may be a concern if using the fountain indoors, the water pump is adjustable but there is only a slight difference between the min and max settings. I have it set right in the middle which gives a good flow to all the tiers, with minimum splashing; turning the flow rate to the min causes the small top right waterfall to "trickle" out. The water pump and LED lights each have their own plug, so I had to get a dual outdoor smart plug so I could set a timer for each individually, now the fountain comes on in the morning and the LED lights come on at dusk, both turn off in the late night. Evaporation doesn't seem too severe, filled it up upon set-up (takes just under 15 gallons of water), had it on max flow in 85-degree SOCAL weather for 3 days and lost less than an inch of water in the base reservoir. I now have a drip line going into the fountain from my sprinkler system that adds a small amount of water (couple of cups) 2 days a week, which seems to be doing the job of keeping the water at the right level. All in all very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anybody ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We saw this outdoor fountain at a local nursery and really liked it. We've been looking for one that would look great on our back patio/lanai to have that calming water sound. However, it was $700. We considered it, but ultimately decided to wait to see if something else came along. I had taken a photo of the tag on the fountain and decided to look on Amazon. Shockingly, I found it for a little over $200. That's less than a third of the price! I ordered it and it was quickly delivered in a giant, heavy box. The box arrived quite a bit beat up, but thankfully the fountain inside was well-packed and was okay. It was fairly easy to assemble and set up. It's got that calming water falling sound that I love. Since we're not outdoors all the time to enjoy it, we first put it on a timer to run for a few hours just to circulate the water every day. However, upon reading about fountains, it's apparently best for the motor to keep them running all the time. So that's what we've been doing. We also bought a chemical to put into the water that prevents mold. And I've been amazed at how much water the fountain holds and how often we have to refill it. On hot days, the water evaporates much quicker. I just pour the water somewhere into the front pools when the water starts to trickle. I absolutely love the fountain. It looks like stone, is sturdy, doesn't splash, and produces a great sound. It was a great purchase and a great deal comparably. ... show more

Worse company I've ever "dealt" with. Lights worked for 24 hours only. The base cracked after less than a year. I could never find a number for customer service and sent them no less than 10 requests via email through their site and Amazon to contact me and noone has ever contacted me. Such a lovely fountain with a wonderful sound of water falling. I had an issue with the pump and customer service went out of their way to make it right. I would add though, that the pump pressure was too high causing the area around the fountain and plants to constantly be wet, and we weren't able to turn it down using the dial due to a defective pump. I called Alpine and they promptly send me a new pump having slightly less pressure of 800 GPM, instead of the 1200 GPM that originally came with the fountain. The new pump works well, but I had to buy a sponge (cut from a larger fountain filter sold at a big box store) that I inserted deeply into the top right opening to reduce the amount of water coming through that opening. It solved the problem of water splashing out and needing to constantly refill. Now we are enjoying our fountain once again. One slight flaw is that the decorative color is coming off on the side and the bottom of the fountain, but it's okay because I have used plants to cover this defect. I can probably spray paint it at some point if need be. Overall, I highly recommend this fountain and the company that sells it (Alpine) as they stand behind their products, which is rare in this day and age. ... show more
