This is the nicest saw I've ever used. It's really light & well balanced. It's pretty quite as far as saws go. The blade stops really quick. I haven't used the blade it came with. But I'm sure it cuts just fine. It has enough power to cut through 2x4s, plywood, OSB, hardwood etc. All the blade adjustments are really nice, simple & easy to use. I've also used it with dust collection attached & it was really nice. A lot of the dust was collected by the vacuum. The bag it came with is really nice & tough. Tremendous power tool. If you like “in line cut saws” you’ll love this. Your hand the handle the blade, the LED and the sight line are all in one straight line. So much more natural than the “side winder” types that are constantly torquing your hand toward the blade. Instead of a direct drive they’ve used a belt so the blade bolt sits right down on the shoe giving you a deeper cut than any of the 6 1/2 inch saws I looked at. Very close to a 7 1/2 inch. I bought this from Amazon with the saw, blade battery, charger and carry bag for what Lowe’s wanted for the bare tool. This came with the old style 5 amp hour battery. Fine for my usage. I’ve never run it dry. They now have a 8 amp hour “stacked lithium “ the size of my 5 amp. I’ve been using this mainly on pressure treated lumber for deck repairs and breaking down sheet goods. It’s a pleasure to use. Biggest draw back is the lack of blade selection compared to 71/2 inch. This came with a 24 tooth framer but the cuts are so smooth and clean that it makes excellent cuts on plywood. ... show more

This Saw is by far the most powerful one I have used it spins the blade up to 6200 rpm and will just cut everything you put in front of it I've cross cut treated 2x12 forcefully pushing it through it and it did not care. I have a Skill Mag 77 which has been a work horse for me. That said I bought a dewalt, more expensive than this and it lasted 1.5 years. My Skill 77 is > 20 years old. This thing is lighter than the skill 77, with similar or better torque, a massive power bank of a battery and at a great price to boot. I've had it for a year, very impressed and I also bought the hammer drill. When batteries for my husquvarna chain saw/blower, etc and my dewalts are so darn pricey.. the battery and size you can't beat with Flex. Highly recommend. ... show more

This saw is definitely worth the purchase. The only downfall is. This company is not certified to sell Flex Tools. So therefore you cannot warranty this saw with Flex. Flex Tools has a very good warranty. They do stand behind their product. So if you’re interested in buying this saw, I would find another dealer like Ohio Tools. I have purchased flex items from Ohio Tools in the past and no issues. I do believe no matter what Flex should stand behind this product no matter who sells it. The media could not be loaded. The saw feels heavy, in a good way. Plenty of power, I used it to cut dimensional lumber and siding for an outside pool area half bathroom. You do not need this heavy duty of a saw for what I used it for, but I don't have to worry about bigger jobs for it now.
