Not a long term review. So keep this in mind. Been running this almost 24/7 for the past month. Zero issues. Pulls about 2.7 amps when running on max mode. Obviously it doesn't run all the time. It just runs to maintain temp as needed. Well this makes it super easy to power off of a 200 W solar / battery combo with more than enough overhead for cloudy days. You can basically run it for perpetuity with a 50 ah battery and a solar panel. Uses so little power overnight I can finish charging the battery in the first hour mid morning. I put it outside in 95F heat in a semi-shaded area that has a few hours of direct sun until noon. Wanted to make sure it would maintain temps. Kept it was 40F the entire time. The range it will work in is plus or minus 3 deg F. The app is decent. Does not require registration or another password or intrusive permissions. Got it for trips to the store to keep our food cold without spoiling and for car camping. But found I use it more for keeping a bunch of drinks at a nice 45F instead of 34F in my normal fridge. Nice to have for picnics and pot lucks, or when you have a bunch of really large things that don't fit in the fridge. Paid $200 for it on Prime Day.

This was my first year of using this fridge - bought it on the mid-summer Prime sale for a long camping trip that I was going on in September. The fridge itself worked great. It never let me down as far as working and keeping things cold. Food at the bottom and towards the shelf stay the coldest (frozen stuff stayed frozen pretty long), but the whole unit kept things cold. It's quiet (I have an overlanding trailer, and I never heard it in the tent above where the fridge was), and worked well. I ran solar to keep my battery charged, and I could see at the beginning when you start it up, it draws about 3.5A (maybe a spike to 4) to get things rolling, and then it settles down at about 3A draw. However, if it's in shade or its cooler, it only runs about 10-15 min, and so I would estimate the draw per hour is less than 3A per hour. If you have it in direct sun, then it's going to be more. I kept it shaded and in the trailer, but during the day it was 90+ degrees. It held enough food for me for a week of travel (42q). For two people, it is good for a long weekend trip. The cover flips to be used for either side entry. It comes with an electrical brick as well, so you can run it indoors. I used that on a second trip I had to take, and again, it never failed me. The one gripe is the molded handles...they can be a bit hard to get a good grip on the unit when it's heavy, and I don't know how I will lock the unit down on a shelf if I get one for my trailer. For the money, this has been a great investment in camping gear, and we use it also when we just go travel for other trips. No more wet food from melting ice!

Great budget fridge. Good size. It’s made very well. I bought this for camping and rv trips. I have used it to keep bags of ice for my wife’s rehab ice machine for her knee replacement surgery. It keeps the ice solid without me having to take up space in our home freezer. I have also used it in the back of my car when we went to Sam’s club for our cold items. Worked flawlessly. I can’t wait to use it camping. My only complaint is the carry handles. Instead of a handle it’s more of a recess in the body. Also, I wish it would have came with wheels. It is heavy when loaded.

Fantastic quality fridge! Absolutely worth every penny!! We bought this bad boy for a 6000 mile road trip in our sedan. It’s super easy to move, light (though it can get heavy with food stuffs) and most importantly keeps stuff cold!! It works easily through the ports in the car, though we bought a small transformer so we could use the plugs for other things too. We did not use it without the car running, but it doesn’t seem to cost too much to run for a while in a house. Good size - about the size of a box bag from the store. Plenty of space for us to store lots of goodies.

The only problem is the interior lens cover for the interior ed light circuit broke off on arrival. Ill glue it back on since its not a bulb but led lights. This is a second purchace due to the success of a smaller capacity unit. I ha e another brand snd the fan can be heard. Not this brand no sounds at all from the teo. One is two yesrs old now and works great. I srill use it.

I've had thermo-electric coolers for decades and not needing ice is great. Those coolers were always a bit limited in capability to cool things down depending on ambient temperature. The Alpicool, however, is really a refrigerator. It has a compressor and refrigerant system. It can cool things to whatever setting you want and keep it there regardless of the ambient temperature. The cooler can act as a freezer (-4°F) or a refrigerator (38°F) and anywhere in between. There's a bluetooth app which allows you to set the temperature and monitor the cooler if it's in your trunk or too far away to see. I just used this on a 2,000 mile road trip where I needed it to be a freezer for several days and then just a refrigerator after that. It did wonderfully. The draw on the vehicle's electrical system was not noticeable, the cords never got hot even on the max cold settings. Even turned off, it held the temperature pretty well (not days, but hours). It cools off quickly and maintains the temperature in a good range. It is not overly heavy or bulky either which is nice. Being able to control the temperature, have something that can be a freezer or a refrigerator, and not ever need ice is super convenient for road trips.
