Features

  • Powerful Moisture Removal: Removes up to 145 PPD under saturated conditions and is designed for basements, crawl spaces, storage areas, garages, large rooms, and commercial settings. It helps control excess moisture in spaces up to 1,800 sq. ft., making it an ideal dehumidifier for crawl spaces and basements
  • Designed To Last: Built with advanced corrosion-resistant technology, this feature helps reduce coil corrosion and refrigerant leakage, which are common in dehumidification applications. This added protection helps extend coil life and maintain efficient heat transfer over time
  • Automatic Defrost: Our advanced auto-defrosting system continuously monitors the ambient temperature using built-in sensors. When the temperature is detected to be low, the unit initiates an automatic defrost cycle to prevent frost buildup and related issues. During this process, the compressor temporarily stops while the fan continues to operate, allowing the frost to thaw. Once the defrost cycle is complete, the dehumidifier resumes normal operation. This feature conserves energy and helps extend the lifespan of the unit
  • Built For Versatility: Engineered for Versatility: Designed with the modern user in mind, this professional-grade dehumidifier is powerful, efficient, and user-friendly, featuring an appealing design. Its automatic defrost system, low-temperature operation, and C-ETL certification make it an excellent choice for crawl spaces, basements, and commercial use
  • 6-Year Limited Warranty & ETL Listed:This AlorAir crawl space dehumidifier is ETL listed for safety, backed by 6-year limited warranty - first 2 years full coverage with professional customer support ready to help whenever you need it

  • Great dehumidifier for large garage space Great dehumidifier for large garage space
Size: Galaxy 60P
I have a 3-car garage and am a recent transplant to the south. Recently the humidity has increased with the coming of summer and a bad muggy smell began to appear in the garage. Never had that before in California. I have a small temperature and humidity meter in the garage, and it was showing around 80% RH. This Alorair had good reviews so I decided to try it. Result was excellent, better than my expectation. I just pulled the unit out of the box, ran the pump driven drain house under a garage door to the outside and switched it on. The setup was simple with easy to understand controls and a color LCD display that shows various useful information. The screen walks you though some setup such as what target humidity is desired (default is 55% RH). I left everything as is and walked away for the night. The next day, the humidity was down to about 52% RH and the difference in the air quality was remarkable. Very comfortable, and the muggy smell was totally gone. The device does make some noise, but is fairly quiet (I don't have a reference, if it were in a bedroom it would probably be too loud but for a garage it is perfectly acceptable), also this is a fairly good size device for a larger area, so there needs to be more airflow, etc. to do the work. Running any dehumidifier does result in an increase in temperature as that is how they work, so the ambient temperature did increase a few degrees in the garage space. But actually the air is so dry that it is a comfortable work space even though it is slightly warmer than before. Time will tell about longevity, but for now I am completely satisfied with the Alorair 145 and can recommend it for a garage environment. It looks pretty good, too. ... show more

  • 5-star product!
Size: Galaxy 60
I was incredibly impressed with this dehumidifier! It removes moisture quickly and efficiently, keeping the basement dry and preventing mold or musty odors. The machine is powerful, yet surprisingly quiet for its size, and the control panel is simple and easy to use. It feels very durable, is well-made, and is ideal for long-term use in large spaces. The water tank has a large capacity and drainage is convenient. Highly recommended for anyone suffering from a damp basement – an absolute five-star product! ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: Galaxy 85P
I have about 1500 sqf unfinished basement that gets very humid in the summer here in New England. My old 70 pint Kenmore dehumidifier was not handling it very well. So I got Galaxy 85P. Amazon delivery driver was trying to roll the box from the truck so I had to help him to carry it down. Left it sit for 2 hours on level, then started, set setpoint to 50% in auto mode. It got from ~70% to 50% in a few hours but then was going to defrost pretty frequently, the temperature was about 62F so I thought it might not be able to handle when it is cold. Then I had a power outage and when resolved the dehumidifier switched to continuous mode and 35% preset. And was getting quite below 50%. So it did not hold the settings after power cycle. Contacted service and they confirmed that it should persist the settings and send me new display board, that I have received in about a week. Having some concerns over people reporting refrigerant leaks I got Elitech leak monitor and sniffed around the tubing while replacing the board, no leaks detected. The new board worked properly and now settings are persisted. So, keeping my fingers crossed I'm keeping it as more reputable brands like Santa Fe or AprilAir are 2x-3x the price, while also having some complains, and the device seems to be doing the job so far. Advise: check that setting are persisted on your device if you unplug the power and wait a few minutes. It is a bit noisy if you are standing next to it. ... show more

  • Defective new unit out of the box Defective new unit out of the box
Size: Galaxy 85P
Received a completely brand new unit from Alorair purchased through Amazon. Product packaging looked amazing and appearance of the product was amazing. However, the unit will run for about 25 minutes and immediately pop an E5 error. Tried to turn the unit off and then back on which would not clear the error. Pulling AC power for 10 minutes followed by restoring would clear the error. However, the unit continued to pop E5 errors after another 25 minutes. Tried both the built in pump as well as as the gravity drain, which did not make any difference. Really disappointing for what is supposed to be a high quality product. Thankful for easy Amazon returns, but I cannot recommend anyone purchasing this product is quality brand new out of the box is this poor. ... show more

  • Powerful Moisture Control That Finally Keeps My Basement Dry.. 65-to-35 in no time.... Powerful Moisture Control That Finally Keeps My Basement Dry.. 65-to-35 in no time....
Size: Galaxy 85P
I installed this dehumidifier in my crawlspace and within the first day I noticed a huge drop in humidity and that damp smell was gone. The built-in pump and drain hose make it truly hands-free, which is perfect since I don’t have to empty any tanks. It runs quietly for a commercial unit and handles my entire basement area easily. The auto defrost feature works great during cooler nights with no freezing issues. Overall, it feels solid, professional grade, and absolutely worth the investment for long-term moisture control. Weight is not that heavy as I thought that is good for easy moving around if needed. Size is all I liked as this is compact yet very effective solution for damp spaces.... ... show more

  • The perfect cold climate unit for a garage!
Size: Galaxy 60
What I needed for my 3.5 car 780 sqft garage. All my expensive tools are in here. So is my Porsche and my 2 daily drivers. Its great to pull a car in, and a few hours later, car is dry after being in the rain. Snow melts off the garage and then water evaporates and this unit removes the water. So even in cold winter my garage is dry!!! No water puddles for long! My garage is unheated but attached. Usually hovers around 35-40 in winter. I needed a heavy duty cold climate rated dehumidifier. And this Alorair works fantastic! Its quiet and small, heavy for its size but that weight means its a good strong unit. Runs 24/7/365. Set at 45% power usuage is very low. Worth the few pennies a day to keep my garage dry and rust free. ... show more

  • Great price for an amazing unit Great price for an amazing unit
Size: Galaxy 60
I have this product running in my crawlspace for 2.5 weeks now and it has been a lifesaver. The humidity in my crawl space was in the 90’s. I live in the southeast US and the humidity is no joke. The builders of my house decided a vented crawlspace would do the trick. It did not, the house is only 4 years old and the HVAC unit in the area was forming condensation so badly I thought the unit was leaking water to the catch pan. To the point I had to use a shop vac to get all the water out. The HVAC technician let me know the humidity problem. So I started my project, I sealed the vents with foam insulation board. Then I ordered this dehumidifier……I will say it was a slip up ordering the unit without the internal pump vs a gravity drain. That said, I bought an Everbilt condensation pump at Home Depot. I think this was the right move as I can always replace the pump if it goes out. So on to the performance. The humidity was 95 when I installed the unit in the crawl space. I did not have a pump the first night so I put the gravity drain into a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket. The humidity dropped to 51 by the next day. On top of that, it filled the bucket in less than 24 hours. The next day I bought the condensation pump and connected it. The unit has been running 2.5 weeks and has the humidity down to 42. Note, I have not encapsulated my crawl space. I also ordered and connected the remote thermostat but it is hard wired. Wireless is not available on this model. A tip, if you order this from the Alorair website they give a half off deal on the remote. So I am happy to with the unit, it controls the humidity, it’s quiet as the unit is below our living room and we have never heard it. ... show more
