This camera is easy to use. Just plug it into your lamp socket and you’re good to go. It’s designated an indoor cam, meaning it can’t take rain or the elements. But it works fine in a porch light socket with roof overhead. As for function, it has a great fov and moves with the use of the app. The notification systems, I found, didn't always report movement.

The is is much better than the sub$20 china cameras. The camera itself just seems more thought out. The app is light years better. No stupid ads to use an app for a device you paid for. Picture quality is amazing. Oddly the app doesn't allow you to set preset views but such a minor complaint. In fairness only used this for an hour but so far very good. The cheap less than 20 one also lasted for only several months.

Overall this is exactly what we were looking for as we have a spot for a light fixture on our front porch but no plugs. So we bought this to put in the light fixture so we can keep an eye on our kids while they are out playing in the yard and it works great! The ability to talk through your phone to it and to hear through the microphone on the camera is a great plus. The only negative thing is that it does not allow you to simply keep spending around in the same direction. It only goes all the way around to a particular point and then you have to go back the other direction in order to look at the other side.
