Pretty good quality for a chinese made product. Seller provides excellent customer service and is extremely responsive in getting issues and problems addressed. I am not sure if my unit got damaged during shipping or if the tolerances for the rotating anvil/blade within the drum are very tight so it does get stuck sometimes without a physical obstruction but so far I have been able to forcefully get it unstuck and get it operational again. I have only used it a few times so maybe this will get better with time and happen less and less. Other than that, it does extremely well and makes mincemeat out of the thick 5" branches and starts up immediately with the electric start. If you want to save some significant money compared to name a name brand american made product, this is about as good as it gets. ... show more

    • How to set the blades
This lacks information in it's litereature regading setting the blades, if they are out of balance they pose a dangerous situation, this is a safery issue. Can not get a answer from the manufacture up to delivry. Also can not get any touch up paint, this has been going on for over 4 months with no help at all, it is past the buck every time I talk to someone or email them back, I'm a very dissatisfied cutomer and you will get only one star for your lack of effort to resolve this simple issue, To be honest I should leave no stars. When this issue is settled Amazon & I are finished, there are plenty of other businesses that will take my money. I have not put the battery in nor the oil so someone could accidently start it & possibly get hurt or worse, killed, this is a dangerous machine that turns at 2,200 rpm's I ave fought with them for allmost 4 months and am no closer to getting an answer than when I first contacted them. They are getting to be a big joke especially when it comes to safety. ... show more

    • Struggles with hardwood, eats softwood like butter.
I have run it for about 5 hours now. Chip size is very consistent. It devours softwood no problem. But dry hardwood is very difficult to feed and pulls the engine down. And as i expected, petrified wood wants to bouce back. But all in all it works pretty good. I hade a rock go through it so i needed to flip the blades already. I bought an extra set , but i plan to sharpen them when needed, however there is no blade adjustment, so i believe after sharpening it will produce larger chips due to design. ... show more

    • Very good 6" chipper.
Overall, I am really happy with this wood chipper. I am using it to ckean up my woods from all the storm damage. Pros: Easy to move around - especially like the handles on the chute, and the large wheels, that make it easy to move around. Engine seems to be of good quality and starts easley. CONS: The exit chute isn't adjustable from side to side. You have to unhitch it from what ever your using to tow it, other wise the tow vehicle gets bury in the wood chippings. I would recommend the manufacturer to also modify this discharge chute to be able to discharge 90 degrees. Other than that, I am really happy with it so far. My woods ckean up is coming along nicely. ... show more
