Easy to install and is a great addition to a beach house that doesn't have a doorbell as often times we did not know if someone was at the door. It also alerts us to packages which have been delivered. Video is clear and we paired a ring chime to the ring doorbell mounted outside so that we can hear the chime when the doorbell is pushed. I was disappointed to learn that I have to subscribe to get history after our one month trial. Since I have alerts turned off on my phone I can't see who has gone in and out of the house without paying for that "protect plan". Wish I'd known this up front.

Needed a good door bell so we thought about upgrading to a video smart unit. Investigated the various manufacturers and came up buying Ring. Have used it as a battery operated unit for over 2 years and have found it to be very useful. Battery has to be changed about every 90 days. Easy to install

I honestly don’t even know what to write that everyone has already said. One scenario I had there was a person stealing packages during the day and when the police went across the street and one police officer noticed I had the ring doorbell and she was able to get a photo of the person and they caught him two blocks away.

Helps me know who is at my door. When I get pkgs, etc. Just not really easy to change out battery. I bought extra batteries, so I always have one ready to install. Stick it in my metal screen door with Gorilla tape. Holds very secure. Never had any problems. Secure on the back.

In a word OMG why did I wait so long to get one. Very easy set up at your front door and iPhone set up. Loving this product. I returned the chime unit because I was satisfied with the ring on my iPhone instead. Excellent product.
