This is a really nice outdoor camera. I put it up as a little security camera and to see the wildlife that cones into my yard. It was very easy to set up,bthe instructions were very easy to follow, and it connected right away to my wifi. I bought 4 cameras and they all connected and synced together perfectly. I am not the most tech savy person and I didn't have any trouble setting it up. The cameras capture very good videos and photos, the quality is very crisp and bright. It allowed me to see what happens outside my home night and day. The night ph9tos and video are just as clear as the day time photos. The night videos and photos are done in black and white. I have 2 cameras that I hung from my porch and they were easy to assemble and hang up, the other 2 u bought a pole and stuck them in the ground because I didn't have anything to hang them from, and they fit well on that too. I defiantly feel safer having them around my house.

I had a bad experience with my Blink system years ago, when I first installed it, but a Blink representative reached out to me and replaced all my cameras. This completely changed my opinion on Blink - the new cameras they sent worked as well or better than I hoped, and I was amazed at how easy the process was. However, I mention this to say that because of that experience, I was a harsh judge on the new sync core module and the Blink 4. Here's my best example of how I feel about the Blink 4 and sync core - The camera I am reviewing now, I ordered 2 days ago, and I already ordered more and will be reviewing them next! I was so impressed with the Outdoor 4 that I bought more the very next day. I honestly didn't even strictly NEED them... but the value for the money is so good that I jumped on a sale and am rounding out my perimeter viewing. Installation is super-simple, and the field of view blew me away. The IR emitter performs very well even on the lowest setting, and you can turn off the indicator LED if you so choose, so no one can tell if the camera is viewing them or not. The speaker is surprisingly useful for such a small size. One thing I didn't like - the Sync Core module does not have an SD card reader, so you are limited to live view or a cloud-based, subscription service. Amazon makes this very clear on their page, even putting it in a colored callout box, so this is not something that should come as a surprise to anyone... but I can't help but mention that this feels a bit off to me from a brand I have always found to be all about customer satisfaction. Still, they aren't hiding this fact from you, and you have 2 other options for Sync modules if you don't like this feature. I was able to find a doorbell, Outdoor 4, and Sync XR package on sale for a fantastic price, so I bought that, too, and will use the Sync XR. I like having the Core as a backup, so this isn't a star-removing thing for me... but I hope Blink doesn't start making their systems less accessible to the consumer. That is what made me love them - that, and the unprecedented customer service! All my other Blink products have been gentle on the batteries, so I believe them when they say the Outdoor 4 can go 2 years on the included lithium AA batteries. These cameras are a giant leap forward from my older cameras, that I still love, and Blink has proven to me they are committed to customer satisfaction by doing more than they had to for me those years ago when I was unhappy. Not only can I say I will buy again, I already did, the very next day after using the Outdoor 4 for the first time. I'm completely satisfied and then some!

An excellent set if you're looking to have a small camera system (or additional cameras of this brand) for your home or business. As this one comes with two outdoor cameras, it should cover most of your basic needs or additions to your existing Blink system. The Outdoor 4 cameras are clear and easy to set up and even at night, you can adjust infrared lighting to supplement any to no lighting. Visual operating distance would probably be no farther than 10 feet to get good facial capture. Any farther and your Outdoor 4 camera(s) could be used to supplement what's going on your property from a general standpoint. Each of the cameras detect motion and and start recording upon detection of movement, vehicles, or people. The algorithms or AI make pretty good determination of this. Keep in mind, this can run on AA batteries or an external power source like a solar panel that would plug into the USB-C port on the back. However, if you're looking for something that gives you consistent live-view or multiple-camera view, you may want to look for another option. As far as power, if you're going to do consistent live view (and only one camera at a time), you'll probably want your cameras plugged in for power to an outlet. These are meant to be wireless as far as power. These cameras are good if you only need to know when the cameras detect something, making you go to the app and opt to use the live view to see what's going on. You can only view cameras from the app, you can't log into a website to watch from your browser. It's still a good system, just be sure to study what your wants and needs are first for a video system and then determine if not consistently monitoring your video is for you, only watching clips of what's going on when it records something.

The newer version of the blink outdoor cameras work really well. I had the older blink outdoor cams and decided to upgrade. I purchased the bundle of three cameras with the newer version of the blink doorbell. One of the cameras just stopped working about two weeks after I installed them. Did all the troubleshooting steps but it still doesn’t work or even turn on. Will contact blink support for assistance but think I may need a replacement for it. All other cams and the doorbell work great. The video is clearer and motion detection is better with the blink outdoor 4 cams. The blink doorbell now features full body view of people at door. Nice cameras and doorbell, very pleased either my purchase.
