Fits nicely in the hand. My hands are medium large male hands. It is well made. I am not afraid of cutting myself when using it. Sharpenable with a ceramic rod (and I strop). I mainly use it to peel ginger. The media could not be loaded. Allclad is never disappointing. These are heavy so you know they are good quality. A little pricy but in my opinion it’s worth it. Do not put them in the dishwasher
