Beautiful story! She’s a great writer - I was able to giggle and get secondhand embarrassment from the character herself in moments throughout the book. It’s relatable to women who are ‘late bloomers’ or didn’t go out much so you feel ‘behind’. This book was cool in destigmatizing beliefs from what the character/society shares. I love the slow burn and the relationship - it was very cute and gave me hope for finding my own true love, what traits to look for and to not settle for less. I love when I can truly relate to a character, especially on very personal matters. As someone who is in her early twenties and has yet to have a first kiss or even hold hands with a guy due to somewhat similar experience growing up, I found this book to be very realistic with what I have and am experiencing. This book not only felt real to me but also gave me a bit of hope for myself and honestly made me feel less alone with how I feel. I loved the characters and the banter between Luca and Jasmine, which kept the story lighter and more fun. I would truly recommend this to not only those who have similar inexperience or feelings, but to anyone who is looking for something to make you laugh a little, smile a lot, and fall a bit in love with a fiction man lol ... show more

I really enjoyed this one! Jasmine is a pretty sheltered 25 year old, until a random opportunity to go to Spain for a few weeks presents itself. Shockingly she takes it, and while there she truly discovers herself (and finds herself in a love triangle)! I loved her journey of finding her confidence, and I wish this book was around in my early 20’s! It would resonate perfectly with that age group (and to any big Taylor Swift fans)! This was almost a DNF for me. I really tried to push through but the MFC was very difficult for me to relate to. A lot of the book felt very much like a self-help book/like getting a lecture from a friend.. just not my cup of tea. So glad there’s a story like this. I’m so glad there’s a story like this especially for young women/young adult women. The main characters are relatable, witty, and genuine. The story is as gorgeous and vibrant as the book’s cover. I did not want to leave Spain.
