I was impressed with the quality of this skirt for the money. I like that you can cinch it up to make it shorter or longer in the front. The skirt is very high waisted, so keep that in mind when buying your shirt to go with it. It is slightly loose on me at the waist. I have a 26 inch waist and ordered a size small. It has a zipper on the side but there is no way to tighten the waist at all. Being that I am so small, I figured that it would be a little bit big so I am not worried about it. I will just safety pin it a tiny bit in the back to make it a little more snug. I bought this for Halloween so once the day comes, I'll post some pictures of how it looks. ... show more

I really love this dress. It's nicely made, the fabric is soft and stretchy, the lace is highly detailed and high-quality, and it looks great with a pair of red heels. The little built-in cinches on the inside of the dress allow you to adjust how high/low, and on which side(s), the front of the skirt is raised, so you can go from demure to racy at need. It's very comfortable to wear, and has a nice "swish" to it. The first one I ordered was waaaay too big, returned it, got two sizes smaller, and it's about right. The fabric is stretchy around the waist, so you should factor that into your calculations--you can probably count on 1-2" of stretch in the waistband. All in all, very much a winner! ... show more

This skirt is very nice for costumes, feels well-made, and looks beautiful. But it runs extremely large. My waist is 32", but after seeing other people comment about the size I got a large rather than the suggested XL. This was still very nearly too big and I probably would've exchanged it if I didn't need it for an event. A thick belt fixed it, but make sure you order at least a size down. ... show more

Pretty good quality for a costume and I agree with everyone that you should purchase one size smaller than the measurements say. I paired this with a basic black shirt from my closet, a lace-up vest and cute, striped tights.
