I had never really had enough money to get my partner a good enough gift until now. We first ordered a different laptop that wasn't what it was supposed to be (wrong specs from listing), but then I saw this. This laptop scratched every box for me to get her, decent RAM, a good GFX card, a fast CPU. Also, honestly, Alienware was a dream brand of mine, I still don't own an Alienware to this day - but I love the design of Alienware systems. Usually though, they are pricy - whereas this one was perfectly within budget. My partner doesn't use the system enough on battery to really say anything about battery life, but it would seem to be average as to what is expected. The display looks nice and high quality, and it functions as it should. Unlike the other laptop, this one actually is the spec it said it would be! The fans can get a little loud when running super high-demand games, but that is to be expected - mostly it is quiet or I just don't notice it. ... show more

Horrible product. I chose Alienware because I thought it is a reliable brand and it’s a pretty expensive model for a beginner who is only running mechaa chameleon on it. I played the game for a max hour of 2 hours occasionally when my friends have time. The rest of the month it just sits there because I have a separate work computer. The machine just stopped working all of a sudden today when I tried to open steam. Neither discord or steam was able to launch at all. And those are the only apps I ever downloaded on this computer. I checked the systems tasks and my memory was on 72% with no apps even open. I tried to close some background tasks but nothing helped. I factory reset it, which took a hour, then I was able to run chameleon by it self for another hour (with nothing else on and running) and it force quit itself and had a black screen for 20 mins. This piece of junk is not working completely so I tried to turn it off and trouble shoot it. After resetting and trouble shooting, with no apps running, the memory was still 60%. EVERYThINg lags. Maybe they second hand recycled the hardware and put it in a new computer to sell. I have not downloaded or used anything other than steam and mechaa chameleon. I have already passed the return period so I can’t really return it. ... show more

Graphics are good. Runs good. Only issue I have had is opening programs is slow. Some you have to click on a few dozen times to get them to open. Would give 5 stars if not for that issue.

Really nice machine, solid and built well. A bit on the heavier side, but solid built, screen is good and performance is top notch. Dell software is buggy, but that's about it. Overall recommend! My only issue is the Intel sticker is stuck crooked , but no FPS loss!

No regrets here! Just wish I'd done it sooner. Great all around. I'm not a gamer, but prefer the build of gaming laptops for durability, sound and functionality. *UPDATE: Dropped 2 stars... strange day with the new Dell. The monitor light key adjustments don't work, and they did yesterday. And suddenly the system errored and said will have to shut down. The fan has been running more today too. IDK what took place on the backend of their updates, etc. but I'm not as happy today. I've had 3 tabs open for work and played a few games of solitaire, so nothing over bearing. Spent too much time trying to troubleshoot all day, for a new system. May not be a keeper after all. Hmmm ... show more
