  • Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD with Heatsink – Blazing Fast Boot Drive
Capacity: 2TB Style: T500 W/Heatsink (PS5)
I snagged the Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD with heatsink on sale for my new white-themed PC build with an Intel Core Ultra 2, and it’s been an incredible boot drive. This SSD is insanely fast—Windows boots almost instantly, and games and apps load in seconds. The 2TB capacity is perfect for my OS, large games, and video editing files, with plenty of space left over. I went with the heatsink version since it was discounted, even though my motherboard has built-in M.2 heatsinks. The included heatsink allowed me to install this under my GPU, freeing up my motherboard’s heatsinks for future M.2 drives, which is a nice bonus The performance (up to 7,400MB/s read, 7,000MB/s write) is top-notch, and temps have stayed low even during heavy use. For the price, especially on sale, this drive is a steal. 5 stars for speed, capacity, and versatility—I’ll update if performance changes over time. Highly recommend for any high-performance build! ... show more

  • Perfect match to a PS5 for storage increase and play
Capacity: 2TB Style: T500 W/Heatsink (PS5)
Perfect match - I upgraded my PS5 with the 2TB SSD drive. Easy to access and the drive fit perfect. It Formated and matched the PS5 with an immediate storage increase. Compatibility was great. I moved several files over to it flawlessly from the hard drive. Game play off of the SSD drive was also great and fast. No issues - it works well. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great realiable drive
Capacity: 1TB Style: T500
It's been very reliable so far and the speeds during file transfers are really fast. I use this as both as boot drive and to store my games on and I haven't had any issues with drive recognition or files corrupting. The temperature of the drives does get warm, but nothing that would be high enough to cause concern. ... show more

  • Excellent SSD - good solid value.
Capacity: 2TB Style: T500
Had a legacy HP desktop that was starting to suffer from some HD issues. The MB supported an SSD and I was looking to move off the "OS" to a different OS. This SSD was the perfect ticket to allow me to move to Linux Mint. Popped it in, set up in the BIOS, and installed Linux. Being it is 2TB, that allows lots of room for storage as well. Performance is great, ... show more

  • Easily Installed
Capacity: 1TB Style: T500
Installed quickly to upgrade a slow 5400 rpm drive on a HP laptop. Worked well and revived the laptop back from the dead.

  • T500 - Great for most people
Capacity: 2TB Style: T500
Got this at 2tb for $101, and, judging by how the prices have shifted around since then, that might be the cheapest anybody will be able to find a comparable NVME drive for quite a while. For my personal home server and gaming applications this has been a flawless secondary drive. Now on paper this is a top performing drive and in the majority of benchmarks (and my usage) it does perform exactly as promised, but there are slight issues with random and sustained writes that have been reported on by enthusiast sites like storagereview. Do your research on how relevant that may be to your use case before using this as a boot drive for a workstation or putting it in an expensive ZFS array. But as a drive where I keep media files like books and some program/game installations, I haven't had a single problem or noticeably bad spike in latency in a month of use. Pros: -Good price and warranty -Very fast secondary drive for games and virtual machine storage (with DRAM which is rare in 7k+ MB/s read drives) -Power efficient -Issues mentioned may be fixed by driver updates (and are next to irrelevant to what I use it for) Cons: -... Issues may not be fixed by driver updates and there just might be a reason Crucial discounted this first wave of these so quickly that isn't it being the holiday season ... show more
