For less than 300 bucks, you’re getting a machine that could easily pass for one that costs thousands. The precision is top-notch, with clean lines and clear patterns that look professionally done. I’ve dealt with some engravers that just didn’t hold up, breaking down after a few weeks, but not this one. It’s been rock solid. As a novice who has used other laser engravers, I know enough to say that this is a good entry level device. As the name indicates it is a DIY kit which is both good and bad. The good part is that you are only limited by your time and know-how thanks to the modular nature of this kit. The bad is that you are limited by your knowledge. This kit is really meant to learn on and experiment as you decide if this hobby is right for you. If you know how to set it up, you can get results that meet or exceed results found on higher end systems. The assembly process wasn't too difficult, if you know what you're doing or are mechanically inclined. However, the instructions are a bit lacking and require some patience to follow. I was impressed by the high-quality, durable materials used in its construction. Once assembled it feels very sturdy and resistant to damage. To my surprise, the machine was incredibly easy to use based on reported difficulties expressed by other users. I was able to get it working with both Lightburn and LasergRBL software. Compared to my wife's higher end engraver, this does equally amazing work! I've been using this machine for nearly a year now with near flawlessly performance. Yes on occasion I did have to do a reboot or reconnect that seems to be common for plug and play hardware, but I never had a job be adversely impacted so I'm okay with that. All-in-all, this is a solid entry level engraver that will teach you a lot while giving you could results. If they tightened up the instructions some this would be an easy 5-stars at it's price point. As it stands right now I give this a solid 4-stars and recommend to anyone who either has a limited budget or just wants something to tool around with as you learn the hobby.

The media could not be loaded. As a newcomer to laser engraving, I was a bit apprehensive about using a laser engraver for the first time. When I purchased the Alogolaser DIY KIT MINI 5W Laser Engraver, I was worried I might struggle with the setup and operation. To my surprise, the machine was incredibly easy to use. Within just over 10 minutes, I had it fully assembled and learned how to operate it using the accompanying computer software. I've been using this machine for a week now, and it has been running flawlessly. The quality is exceptional, and it feels very durable. I was particularly impressed by the high-quality materials used in its construction, which seem very sturdy and resistant to damage. The compact size of the engraver is perfect for my small workspace, making it ideal for crafting small handmade items. Additionally, the store offers a wide range of accessories, which I’ll definitely consider purchasing in the future. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this engraver to anyone, especially those new to laser engraving.

Can't get it to connect to software to engrave keeps popping up an error tried YouTube and Google to help and we have tried everything it says even the videos on the flash drive it came with and nothing is working. Will be sending back to get my money and finding something else

The media could not be loaded. Compared to many etcher / cutters at higher cost this does amazing work. It can engrave like a 5W machine and cut like a 20W machine, but it's a lot cheaper than a 20W! It can cut thin materials like corrugated boards,If you have a higher demand for cutting results, it may not be a good fit for you! Assembly is easy. The software that it recommends does what I need so far. Ran a full test image of the horse. Satisfying detail design-The fact that it has a key to lock machine and emergency stop is a great added feature. If you have children, lock it with a lock when you leave the machine and you won't have to worry about safety hazards. So far, everything is ok. 12 months warranty is very reassuring. I'll be ready to give feedback if there are any problems.

I was excited to get it. Got it set up, the instructions could be a bot more detailed bit figured it out. I was able to use it one time to practice before it go my roller to do round objects. I went to turn it back on and connect it and neither my phone or computer could find the device. I tried uninstalling the app and still nothing. The program on the computer still could not find it. I think it would have been a great product from what I saw in just the quick practice piece I did but I don't have hours to keep trying to find the device when I want to use it. I sent everything back for a refund.
