  • Very Impressed all the way around!
Style: 12,000BTU 115V, 18 SEER2
I am extremely satisfied with this mini split. Very good quality, this thing is made very well! I have never installed a mini split before until I got this one and it was fairly easy to do. After watching a couple of YouTube videos and reading the Manuel it was no trouble at all. Be sure to buy separately the Nylog refrigerant fitting glue and a set of gauges and vaccum pump. The lines have to be leak tested and under a vacuum before the refrigerant is released into the lines. Youtube videos can explain that better. The performance of this unit is fantastic as well. It runs very quite and does an awesome job of heating and cooling. I will be buying more of these in the future as I live in an older home that heated by a wood stove and cooler by window ac units. So this is my upgrade with out breaking the bank. ... show more

  • Great value for money
Style: 12,000BTU 115V, 18 SEER2
I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I got surprised by the quality delivered from this product. It looks and feels very good quality. Both units are light, easy to install, it's very quiet. The only downside I've found so far is their wi-fi Access Point (AP) only works on 2.4 GHz frequency band, so if you're running a 5GHz network at your home, the app won't work unless you lower the frequency. They need to update their platform and make it user friendly. Regardless, I been using the air conditioner for a week at this point and works pretty darn good! I hope it will continue running as well when heater is used during winter time then is money well spent. ... show more

  • Missing protection grill for rear of unit. Missing protection grill for rear of unit.
Style: 12,000BTU 115V, 18 SEER2
Works great. Fairly simple install if you're mechanically inclined. I installed the unit in a 10x16 insulated shed. Its too cold. Really. I could have purchased the 9,000btu model for less and it would have been fine. I haven't tried the heating feature yet but if it works as good as the AC does, ill make another purchase. Man it'll freeze you out. AND, its nearly silent. Inside and out, sometimes I cant tell if its on or not till I walk next to it and catch that cold blast. Honestly, I wish I had bought this long ago. It really is incredible. ... show more

  • Great Purchase
Style: 12,000BTU 115V, 18 SEER2
Since I have no prior experience with installing or setting up one of these systems, it turned out to be quite a challenge. There wasn't a template available, so I found myself measuring multiple times to ensure I drilled the hole in the right spot. I was slightly off and had to adjust the head to cover the hole properly. I drilled a 3.5-inch hole, but it actually needed to be 3 inches, which wasn't mentioned in the instructions at all. Fortunately, I could draw power from an outlet on the same wall, so that part wasn't too much of a hassle. The lines were excessively long, so I had to carefully roll them up without causing any kinks. I bought a vacuum from Amazon to vacuum the line set, which was another learning curve for me. I wish there were instructions for the little tasks that need to be completed, but I suppose they prefer that regular homeowners don't attempt their own installations. Nevertheless, now that everything is set up, it operates really well, and compared to my 12,000 BTU window unit, it is very quiet. The AC blows really cold air and has a better range than my window unit. This is my first mini-split installation, and I plan to replace three other window units in my home, which is why I purchased the vacuum pump. I'm also thinking about getting a flare tool to avoid dealing with the excess length of the refrigerant lines. Overall, it was definitely worth the money I spent, and I highly recommend doing your research if you intend to install it yourself. ... show more

  • Great unit, great support
Style: 12,000BTU 115V, 18 SEER2
Nice quiet unit that runs well. I did have a problem with the outside unit. It threw an error code but the support folks were great and got back to me each day with tests to try. Ultimately they sent a free replacement for the outside unit. The shipping for that was fast and free. The system is nice but the support was even better and that is very important to me. ... show more

  • Good System, garbage company
Don't expect the sellers to ever reply to you about anything, the wifi feature doesn't work and the "manual" doesn't show anything about this. Shipped with parts missing (fan guard did not arrive) but they don't care. I've sent messages with no reply. The unit works great and it cools great but don't expect anyone from the "company" to ever reply. Paying extra because it's "wifi" is silly because they don't cover that. It's quiet and cools our home well, however. ... show more

  • What my garage has been missing!
Style: 18,000BTU 208-230V, 19 SEER2
I got this after a certain a/c manufacturer recalled some of their window units. So I used the gift cards to purchase this Albott unit. This was not much more expensive than that window unit (~$100 more from when I bought the window unit), and is 18k vs 12k BTU. Cons: (note most of these are minor to me): -Instructions are not nearly as thorough as other mini-splits I've installed. If I hadn't before, I probably would have been confused. Tool sizes not identified. The a/c vacuuming instructions are lacking. -No remote holder. Remote also looks like it's straight from the early 90s. -The putty I received was garbage. Must have been old or something, because it was quite crumbly. -Instructions give you the option of installing the inside unit from the left or right. Don't pick the left unless you have no choice. Otherwise you have to do the connections inside before it can penetrate the wall and try to fold it back. Just go straight out and back. -The electrical connectors were a bit fiddly to get on until I almost backed the screws out all the way. -The vinyl wrapping felt just a bit short. -User guide not available online. Pros: -Price. This unit is VERY well priced. -Installation is really no different from other mini-splits, so if you've done it once, you're good to go. -Doable in a day easily, especially if you don't have to run new wiring or do structural support like I did. -This thing blows COLD! At 68 F/20 C setting, my previous window unit would cool my ~80 F/26 C garage to ~75 F/24 C in several hours if I was lucky. Sometimes it struggled to go lower. The Albott unit, within an hour, started ticking that temperature lower in a couple minutes and within an hour was around 72 F/22 C. After several hours at 68 F/20 C setting, the garage was actually COLDER than the setting. -It's QUIET. Even being outside right next to the outdoor unit, it wasn't even whisper loud. The inside unit is very much the same--super quiet that it's just a low white noise. -It's efficient. I compared the power usage between yesterday and today from using the window a/c unit all day and the Albott unit. My energy monitoring app showed it was using much less power overall. I haven't had this long but currently this is a safe bet. ... show more

  • Must be able to install a breaker and do so wiring to disconnect box
Style: 24,000BTU 208-230V, 21 SEER2
Installation was uneventfully and as expected. The unit works perfectly and the app to control the unit is great. I did the installation myself and the total cost was $1600 , I did have a vacuum pump from harbor freight already. It took about 4 hours to install.
