Our entryway is small, basically, a spot beside the front door. Instead of the blocky look of most benches, the live edge atop the hairpin legs gives a lighter, organic feel. The finishing on the wood is satin matte, not a heavy gloss or varnish. This lets the beauty of the wood shine. Silky feeling, the joins are undetectable to the touch. The only flaw is the bench is a little top-heavy. Under two large adults, it could tip forward if not careful. Overall, though, this is such a stellar Amazon find, it deserves 5 stars. Based on the quality and finish of this piece, I would purchase another item from this company. No power drill required to assemble. They provide a tool. (The pictures are grainy and taken in low interior light, but they (hopefully) will give you a sense of the wood top.)

I bought this to match my other pieces of the same line and style. All of them are impressive, thick and heavy, and beautiful. All of these should really cost more than they do. The wood is a little dry. Make sure to buy some furniture oil to revive and bring out the natural lushness and color. Real oil, not that furniture polish in a yellow can stuff. The wood will thank you and it makes a big difference. It will also keep the wood healthy for a long time.

Love this bench! Perfectly completed our entryway space and the assembly was super easy. Only thing that is kind of a bummer is that is sits slightly uneven and wobbles if you mess with it. I’m pretty sure everything is assembled properly so I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. Either way, I still love it and definitely happy with my purchase!

Absolutely love how this bench fits into my bedroom. It was easy to assemble and feels incredibly sturdy when you sit on it. My husband, who often complains about online furniture purchases because of low quality materials, totally approved of this bench. Highly recommend.

It came in a very heavy box. The wood and legs were well packed, however the bag of tools was broken and they were falling all over the place. Luckily nothing was missing. As an older woman, I was able to unpack and assemble myself without problem. The size is perfect, it is pretty stable and I love the color. I deducted stars because it came with a semicircular scratch nearly the width of the left side. I’m using it as a coffee table so I see it every time I sit down in front of it. It is too heavy for me to return. I saw a couple of other reviews with the same issue. Quality control seems to be lacking.

I really want to love this bench, the wood is very beautiful. The hairpin legs seem super sturdy. Because it is real wood and metal hairpin legs...this bench is super heavy. It was pretty easy to assemble, however 7 of the 8 washers needed to assemble the bench were too small. There was on washer that was the correct size, and the other 7 aren't large enough to fully cover the hole in the hairpin legs, and I imagine they won't be able to hold up to much use. I'll be stopping by the hardware store to grab the correct sized washers. Frustrating.
