Put this up as a sun or breeze shield for our crib in the nursery. Slightly different application than the toddler’s room, but we thought we might get some benefit from this canopy. 1. You’ll need to iron it before putting it up. As you can see, it’s just a sheet sewn to a ring and I think that’s the drawback here. It really is just a sheet- a simple cotton or cotton blend sheet. I expected something more sheer like a sheer curtain. The drawback might be only thing that’s an actual win other than the fun aesthetic's of hanging a canopy up for your child- it depends on the application and what you’re trying to do. PROS & CONS- It completely restricts air flow into the bed or crib. It literally creates a micro climate in there. Maybe that’s good and maybe it’s not? I think it depends on the application. Would it keep out a draft in a cool room? Probably. Would it also prevent the AC from reaching the child in the summer? Probably. So consider your application. This could be a cute thing for a little girl’s room and it does come with a dreamcatcher that can be placed with the hoop. In fact with some LED lights and the dream catcher, you might really have something your child will enjoy. I’m leaving it up for now since the winter is coming and there is a long window in the bedroom that lets in both sunlight and heat in the summer but also gets pretty cold in the winter.
