Absolutely love this pergola. Looks really good in person just like the photos. Everything about is stunning. I purchased the 10x20 because i have a big backyard and i dont regret it. Originally it was $2200 but amazon PRIME DAY hit and saw it went on sale for $1650. What a deal. At that time there was only 2 reviews so took the risk and just purchased it because you couldn't beat that sale price for a huge sized pergola. My friend who's a handyman put this up for me by himself. Took him at least 3 days. A 3 man crew can probably build it in one day, and a 2 man crew can probably do it in 2 days. But you can definitely build it yourself just by reading the instruction booklet or watching the mini video in their description on Amazon. Either way this pergola is quality. I also give customer service 5 stars. The company selling was FengLin Direct. I was missing a box of parts and i reached out to them via amazon app "contact seller" and they got back to me couple hours later and kindly apologized and sent me the missing parts i needed fast. Turn around time was like 4 days via fed ex. Minor set back for me but no stars from my review will be deducted because FengLin Direct helped me out and reached back to me fast and prompt whereas other companies take long to reply back to you about a problem and this company really met my expectations. The louvered roof i love. Easy to turn to open and close. Good to let sunshine in and create shade anytime you want. I created a cozy outdoor space for me and my guests, took an idea from pinterest, and to see your idea in real life come alive, is truly a masterpiece. I bolted down the pergola feet to the cement so its sturdy and highwinds wont be able to demolish it. Its heavy durable quality and doesnt feel cheap at all. I can't speak for the rain just yet since its still summertime and hot in sunny California, but when rainy season comes, Ill surely update how the pergola is standing and if the roof is durable and if it leaks. Without a doubt, i highly recommend this pergola and company. Awesome awesome awesome customer service. Definitely met my expectations. I attached a video and some photos, to make you think of getting this well worth outdoor pergola for your outdoor needs. Love also how it comes with a mosquito net and curtain. Both are durable and quality which you can zip up and down from the outside and inside with 2 zippers on each end.

I love the pergola. It's made of quality material and looks great. I've had it for months and have no regrets. Putting it together took some time. It went quickly at first because I opened every box, sorted everything and then brought out each step's material for the guys building it. They didn't have to look for anything. Things got tricky once they had it standing and had to put the louver mechanism together. And of course it takes some time to put all of the slats in. But it was worth it and I love it! **Update: I want to mention that we've had some very high winds recently and the pergola doesn't move at all!!! The last two days and nights the winds were about 35 mph with 50 mph gust. We were in a wind advisory and everything held up very well! No regrets purchasing this pergola. Love, love, love it. ****Update: I am in Kansas and we have had some powerful storms this year with 80-85 mph winds. This pergola has held up beautifully! I reached out to customer service for a couple of things and they were absolutely wonderful! Very responsive and quick! For that, I won't take off anything for the slight inaccurate measurements.

This is a solid steel frame louvered pergola. Assembly took some time and required assistance - do NOT try to assemble this on your own. Others have recommended 3 people, but I and one other person did just fine except that we did call in an extra assistant when connecting the frame parts. For the most-part the instructions are clear. We didn't have to undo/redo anything major along the way. I did not contact their customer service. All parts were present though if you have room to spread them out before you begin that would save a good bit of time. The product comes in 4 boxes. The boxes are very heavy and quite large. make sure that you have help for moving them and somewhere to put them until you are ready to assemble. Plan for a full day for this project as there are a lot of parts. (though now that I have done one, the next one would take less time) The outside frame and the legs are all steel. This means that they are heavier than aluminum (but quite strong) and may be prone to rust (time will tell). For my application, because we get some pretty heavy winds at times, I was happy to have a heavier unit and the price was less than half of the products I was comparing it with. Installing the louvers is a bit tedious. they are easy to drop into place but there are a LOT of them. I finally figured out that I could slip 5 or 6 in place at a time from the inside, screwing down just the inside screw with each one (which meant i didn't have to go up and down the ladder and back and forth) and then moved to the outside of the pergola and screwed down that end of each of the louvers. Also, there is some play with the plastic louver holders - push gently on each holder (toward the frame) so that the pre-drilled hole in the plastic holder lines up better with the hole in the louver. You may have difficulty getting a power driver on the last couple of louvers so be ready to do those by hand. My only disappointment so far was that it came with only 1 crank so I have to move the crank back and forth between the two sides to change the position of the louvers. When I was finished, I used magnetic cup hooks to hang some lights (not included) all the way around the frame - looks great. I just finished installing at this point so I have no comments on how well it handles weather. If I have issues I will update the review. At this point, I feel like it was a fantastic buy at the price point that I paid and I was willing to accept the extra weight of steel vs aluminum as a positive.

Overall, it’s a great product. The structure is sturdy and provides excellent shade. Even when it’s windy, opening the top doesn’t make it feel unstable or like it will tip over. The only downside is that some of the pre-drilled holes weren’t perfectly aligned during installation.

I like it. Hired a handyman to put it up and he brought his wife. Went up in one day. He went and got larger lag bolts to anchor it to the cement. There one slightly dented support but that was put in the back. Instructions are not in English. Together the two of them figured it out and got it done. The curtains and screen was the hardest part to figure. Paid 500 altogether to get it up. Worth it. It will keep rain off of you but it is not water proof. In center there is some dripping.

Is the pergola nice? Yes, minus the dents and dings from shipping (given a partial refund). Were the instructions bad? Yes. Took about 6 hours and 2 people. Were the instructions to attach the curtains and netting worse? Absolutely. Not to mention my curtains do not fit my 12x10. It’s been about 2 weeks of going back and forth with the seller regarding the dents and scratches, and now with the curtains. I have sent pictures, I have readjusted the curtains more times than I can remember, and yet, it still is not good enough for the seller. While it does provide nice shade and is decently priced, this has been a headache.
