If you are tired of installing & removing heavy window AC units twice a year, dealing with trying to clean the moldy/mildew smell out of them, etc.. then this is a very simple solution! We purchased 2 units, one for each floor of the house. Each floor is approximately 700 sq ft. These units are very effective in cooling the house quickly & quietly. In the beginning, I read the manual from front to back, and we had each one installed in about 15 minutes! I'm sure it will be faster each year, as we are more familiar with the installation process. I was a little bit confused about how to drain the water out, so I contacted customer service. They were VERY fast to respond, and continued to follow up with me each day until we realized the problem was that I didn't understand that you must unscrew the cap on the back & ALSO the rubber stopper, to drain out any water as the unit removes humidity from the air. I give their customer support team 25 stars for helping me to understand the unit, since it was such a simple thing I was missing. They were very kind & patient & professional !! Having a portable unit on wheels will make it much easier to store over the winter months, as well. No ugly units hanging out the window anymore! I love that my house is cool all the time without smelling like moldy window units, which really bothered my allergies each year. My husband is very happy with my instincts to buy these units, as he is getting too old to carry heavy window units up & down the stairs each year, as we had to store them in the basement. These 2 units will be stored in their original boxes in a spare bedroom closet over the winter, and will not accumulate mold from the dampness of a basement. We are fully impressed with these 2 AC units, that replaced the need for 6 window units that we previously had to deal with each year! Trust me, you will NOT regret this investment! I would even recommend them for people who have central AC, as a backup plan, since those units always seem to break down on the hottest days of the summer, and then all of the AC companies are backed up for days! TEN STARS FOR THESE AIR CONDITIONERS- 5 for each one we bought! : )

Update: Updating again. May 26, 2024, and still no response of any kind from the manufacturer. I am beginning to think the person who answers the phone doesn't actually do anything and the "we'll escalate your issue" is just a ploy. I have not received so much as a case number assigned to my issue much less a resolution. Dropping to 1 star in response. Update: The unit condenser no longer turns on so it doesn't cool any longer (it only blows air). Didn't last even a year. I called the manufacturer on April 26, 2024, submitted their requested paperwork via email on that day (they even require video proof) as they required. I was told I should hear back within a couple business days. No response. I followed up my email on May 1, 2024; still no response. I called again on May 7, 2024, and an agent said he would "attempt to escalate" my case, so I am still waiting for help. Please be aware that their website shows only positive reviews, so they are selectively highlighting only positive reviews there, which is actually not legal. I will post an update here if I ever hear back. ----------------------------------------------------------- Last summer was extra brutal in Texas this year, so we decided to buy an extra AC unit to help our aging split systems that were struggling to cool at all. We bought this unit in June 2023. Cools great, but after just over a month, the unit started to leak underneath and onto the floor damaging our bamboo flooring in places. We placed a cookie sheet under the unit (the only thing that would fit) to catch the water because we can't afford to not run the unit with the extreme heat. At first it was just a smaller puddle of water, but it quickly grew to the point where I had to "drain" the cookie sheet at least 3 times a day or it would fill up and spill over onto the floor. :( I tried contacting the manufacturer but discovered the links are dead; there is no way to contact them. I call Amazon and their customer service was great! They sent us out a new unit, which took a couple weeks to arrive, and we sent the first unit back. The second unit arrived the end of July 2023. It was running great, cooling the main living space. It wasn't moved; it stayed in the same location. Nothing bumps it; we have no kids or pets pressing the buttons, etc.; it is treated very gently. And then last night--water is suddenly pooling under the unit again. :'( Why???! For anybody wondering, yes, I drain both the bottom and top (the dehumidifier) tanks on a regular basis, every 2 to 3 days; I don't wait for the tank light to come on. Doesn't seem to matter. Since the unit is still functioning, I don't see the point in returning it as long as it works because it appears this could be some sort of structural defect causing this leak to occur.

I'm always leary about portable AC units as my past experiences have been less than great. HOWEVER with that said I'm all in for this unit it installed quickly with very little fuss don't think I had to cuss and fight with the window vent at all, the exhaust hose fits nicely into both the plate and the unit. With in 30 minutes of running the unit the air temperature dropped significantly and within 2 hours I had to adjust it back up to a more comfortable setting. The moving louver inside the unit is a nice touch as it actually makes the air move to help with the cooling of the area making the unit a bit more efficient. One of the biggest shocks for me is that I have had the unit running for 12 hours now it has cycled on and off several times and I have not yet had to drain it out (this is my less than great from my opening statement) the remote is straight forward and easy to use it is also the only way to turn on and off the louver function or change the unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius digital read out. The functionality is straight forward 3 setting AC, dehumidifier, and basic fan function (while using the dehumidifier it's recommend that you set a constant drain to avoid having to drain the machine every couple hours) Special note: when turning on the unit it may take up to 3 minutes for the cycle to actually start this is 100% normal and is in place to protect your investment it is recommended you set the unit at 65 then readjust it to a more comfortable setting. Depending on your window you may need to trim the plastic piece that holds the exhaust line to fit correctly I found a rotary tool to make quick work of this process.
