The Bushwacker hood guard went on in a jiffy. I’m talking 15 minutes tops. Most important thing is making sure you prep your surface with the alcohol prep wipes. Let it air dry before trying to do the application. As you start to prepare that application size it up before you peel off any of the adhesive backers make sure it’s fitting where you want it. I did do a slight trim on some of the plastic on the one edge was just a little bit further down than the other Side, no big deal. To get started follow the instructions but let me give you a tip, pull about 6 to 8 inches of that adhesive backer away on the top two strips and the bottom two strips and let them dangle when you place it onto the hood and then start moving it outward left to right, 6 to 8 inches at a time pressing hard along the way behind you. This will do two things, that gives you something to pull on that tape without having a pry back up to reach under it to get the next one started and as you press as you go, you’re bonding the adhesive to the hood. Mine looks great and it’s functional. It actually does reduce the bug splat onto the glass of the windshield. It’s a low profile. It looks great and I’ve gotten many compliments. I recently purchased a Jeep hood bug deflector and I have to say, I'm absolutely thrilled with it! This is the first time I've used any kind of bug deflector on my Jeep, and it has been one of best add ons to the vehicle. The deflector is extremely well-made and fits my Jeep perfectly. It was easy to install and took less than 5 minutes to do so. The deflector is made of a light weight material that I'm sure will hold up for a long time. Since installing the deflector, I've noticed a significant reduction in the number of bugs and debris hitting my windshield while driving. This has made my daily commute much more enjoyable, as I no longer have to worry about constantly cleaning my windshield. Overall, I highly recommend this Jeep hood bug deflector to any Jeep owner. I love the look of this deflector overall. Installation was simple and has stayed in place after car washes, driving at highway speeds and hot/cold temperatures. I had to add a bit of tape on the ends where the deflector curves around the edge of the hood as it pulled away a bit but other then that it was a snug fit. The color was a great match to the fenders and adds a great look in my opinion to the Jeep. The upside beyond appearance is good good protection but as a bug shield it seem to fall short and bugs and small debris still hits about a third of the way of the windshield. Definitely better then before but I was hopping for more deflection. I’m happy with the purchase overall feel it adds value. ... show more

Looked good and appeared to be well constructed and easy to install but luckily I asked around before I installed it to find out that while it would fit perfectly, you do not want to install it on the 392 trim since it will disrupt the airflow over the air intake and possibly become a real issue with the naturally aspirated engine. As long as you're not planning to use it on the 392 you will probably be happy with it. ... show more

Fits perfectly, but the edges are cut very lazily and are very sharp. There is also no way to tell where the center is without marking it yourself. The guard comes slightly warped and has to bend to fit, so make sure to mark it very well when you apply it. Once you apply it and get it bent to fit the hood, it isn't going anywhere and looks like an OEM part. The added flare on the guard is worth getting as it provides more air deflection from the windscreen. It reduces highway speed noise slightly and throws light FOD upwards & away from the vehicle while in motion. Does not affect the hood sprayer efficiency. Does not fit the larger hood such as the 392, so be advised. ... show more
