I ordered this little garden seat and kneeler for weeding my flower beds. During a super-hot summer, I needed a place to sit down and do a little at a time. So yes, it works for that. When the weeds went crazy, I decided to repurpose it. I carried it out and sat underneath the shade tree while I had the dogs out. It works for that too! Washing the tires and bottom of the van? Yes! I use it for that too! But by far the best (and most fun) use is for outdoor sketching and and other fun stuff in the evening. I started keeping the seat in the workbag by my art supplies in the kitchen. The work bag is big enough to hold everything - even water bottles. One bottle to stay hydrated and another for a spare (or cleanup). While I'm drawing or painting, I can put the supplies I'm using in the pocket and have easy access. If the dogs want to come with me, I can attach their leashes to the handles and they'll watch me draw. I previously used a camp stool. It wasn't a very good solution. Although it was portable, it was iffy as a place to draw. Reaching for something was a balancing challenge. That all changed with this garden seat. It is very stable, easy to collapse, and stores in a minimum of space. I'm happy I found it. No gardening experience is necessary. This really has everything you'd need to garden or pull weeds. The side pouch doubles as an apron, with the provided strap. It also has a tool bag to carry things, plus an extra pad for sitting/kneeling. The ability to use this as a seat or kneeler is nice as well by simply flipping it over.
