  • The easiest coffee/grinder machine setup ever.
It took me 5 minutes from box to a fresh cup of Americano from freshly grinder beans. Unlike that Elacstics or whatever it's called. And it's was $60 cheaper.

  • A few weak points but good espresso
Not bad overall but this was a replacement for a Gevi espresso maker. First things we noticed were how light and poor quality the portafilter was. A cheap plastic handle and very lightweight metal cup. The Gevi has a much more durable portafilter and sturdier handle. In addition, the attachment mechanism where the portafilter connects on this machine is made of plastic. Whereas the Gevi was metal. We immediately had doubts about how long this plastic connection will hold up over time. The performance of the machine is good. We are happy with the espresso output. The grinder works well too. Let's hope this machine holds up for at least a couple of years. We will find out. ... show more

  • So far, so good
I think this espresso machine makes really good coffee. I am an amateur espresso connoisseur, and this machine is perfect as I practice my skills. I did start with fresh coffee beans from a local coffee roaster, and used the grinder immediately before making each espresso shot. I also ordered a few other tools separately, such as WDT, distributor, and a milk frothing pitcher. The 20-bar pressure extracts a rich, flavorful espresso with nice crema on top. The automatic milk frother is a big plus, it heats and froths the milk with just one touch, making cappuccinos and lattes simple and consistent. The machine itself looks sleek in stainless steel and doesn't take up too much counter space. The LED touch controls are intuitive and easy to use, even first thing in the morning. I also like that it can brew single or double shots depending on what you want. On the downside, the machine can be a little noisy when frothing milk, and clean up takes a bit of effort, especially if you use the frother daily. Overall, I love this machine. It is a solid option if you want fancy coffee drinks at home without spending a fortune at a coffee shop every day. It's not perfect, but it produces tasty espresso and lattes with very little effort. ... show more

  • I love it so much, I got a second one.
I grew up with an Italian Mom who used to make Espresso coffee for every family gathering using a simple stovetop pot. So, in the back of my mind, since I am an avid coffee drinker I wanted to follow the family tradition but just in a more sophisticated way like, for example, using a steam wand to froth the milk. Being that I am new to machines I was a bit frustrated in trying to learn how to become efficient. First, I wanted to learn the difference between a Latte, Cappuccino, and an Americano. You can Grok that answer which explains it, of course, perfectly. Then I got into studying the machine, and that is where frustration set in. Everything is easy when you know how but breaking through that barrier can be daunting when especially there are so few videos that train beginners. So, for example, after seeing another maker have milk in the tank I was wondering where the milk tank was. Dumb! I discovered you use steam from water through the frothing tube to create foam in the milk already in the cup. Okay, so onto the machine. I love the extra capacity; it even has a grinding feature with ten different grind settings, and it is detachable for easy cleaning. So, you put the whole beans in the top and grind them fresh which is a superb way to ensure a fresh cup. I also love that there is a permanent filter, so you are not forced into buying replacement filters non-stop. I really like the size. You can see how much more substantial it is next to the Laekerrt in the photos. I'm accustomed to seeing huge commercial machines, for example at restaurants, but they are very expensive. This one makes a nice blend of size and functions at a really attractive price. The steam wand is detachable and that is a nice feature because being able to easily clean that out after every use eliminates any build up and aftertaste. The overall stainless-steel build is great for keeping it looking nice on the countertop, and the stainless-steel burs according to the manufacturer will last for over 10,000 cups. The touchscreen control panel makes for an easy clean up eliminating fingerprints and smudges and makes for a great way for beginners like myself to learn the ropes more methodically. Might I suggest you get the Adorever Milk Frothing Pitcher made from stainless, which is not included but a great thing to have if you want to make steamed milk flower designs. The one I purchased from Amazon that you can see in one of the photos. It is incredibly inexpensive and well made. I have learned that Espresso is as much of an art form as it is the simple task of making a cup of coffee. There are intricacies acquired over time. So, for example when grinding and tamping the beans if a hill forms on one side of the grinds, and you tamp that down that way without evening the distribution, the hot water will flow down the thinner side and avoid the denser compressed area. So, even it out first. I am looking forward to maintaining the family tradition of making Espresso and sampling different roasts to find my preferred. ... show more

  • Fantastic for me
The last espresso machine that I owned was over 40 years ago during my dating years. It wasn't very fancy (it was, however, electric), but I felt "cool" offering an espresso to a friend or a date. Well, I feel cool again, but this machine is a lot fancier than my old one. It grinds the coffee with a burr type grinder (which is the best kind) and has a steam frother. I kept my old stainless steel frothing cup (I'm not sure why) for all these years, and it is now back in service. Both my wife and my best friend love Cafe Americano, and I can now offer them this drink. I'm hardly an espresso expert, but this machine makes a very nice espresso, in my opinion. For me? I like cappuccino. Now I can have that drink without going to a coffee bar. ... show more

  • Works great but takes some practice
This espresso machine looks great on the counter and makes solid drinks, but it took me a few tries to get the hang of using the steam wand and grinder settings. The touchscreen is nice and it heats up quickly. Once I figured out the right grind and tamping technique, the espresso came out rich and strong. The milk frother works well and is easy to clean. I’d recommend this for anyone wanting to experiment and improve their coffee game at home. ... show more

  • Pretty good espresso machine
I am from Italy so I’m a little picky when it comes to my espresso, cappuccino or anything that has coffee in it lol This machine is pretty good if you like espresso and don’t expect a caffetteria style cup of coffee. It doesn’t make a thick and creamy espresso, that’s what I am used to. However it works well and makes a good froth for the milk, also the milk gets pretty hot another important thing that many of these more affordable machines lack at times. Overall a decent machine ... show more
