I bought this to replace another bell used to hide an air tag. Let me first tell you about the bell I replaced: I had the other bell for less than a year. When I had to replace the air tag's battery, I had to remove and disassemble the bell to do it. Once I reassembled the older bell, the bell did not work anymore. It simply "thudded" whenever it was struck. I worked it through numerous times, trying to loosen the cap for a better vibration. Nothing worked. Now, for THIS bell: It was easy to disassemble the bell to place, then hide the air tag. Very straightforward. Once I mounted it, the bell worked great and I was able to locate the air tag on my phone: everything worked as it should. I then unmounted and took the air tag out. I reassembled the bell, re-mounted it, and again, everything worked perfectly! This tells me that I will be able to remove the air tag in the future and the bell will continue to work as it should. ... show more

    • Great idea, but weak spring bends easily

I love this as a way to conceal an air tag on my bicycle. If it's ever stolen, I should be able to track it for at least a little while before the thief starts getting notifications about it and finds the airtag. Unfortunately, I'm less satisfied with the quality of the bell itself. The included spring is fairly weak, and easily deforms with regular use. A stiffer/stronger spring that won't bend so easily would help. Even better would be to switch to one of the bells with a lever or button and internal gearing actually ring the bell instead of just the spring mounted hammer on the outside. ... show more

This product arrived overnight. I was stuck between this version of an AirTag holder or one that looked like a reflector. Since my bike has electric lights I didn’t need a reflector, but I didn’t have a bell. It came with the tool needed to open it. The AirTag fits its cradle perfectly.
