Honestly, i love this thing. No one ever knows how much you can use a air compressor until you get one. Flat tire? No problem. Debrees in your truck bed? No problem. Car cleaning? No problem. Best investment for a exceptional price. And it works fantastic. Self shuts off when the tank is full. Turns back on when it gets low. Not to havy. Vary mobile. Very well made. I bought this air compressor to replace my vintage Craftsman 3.5 HP, 15-gal one which I've had for many years. My old one is on wheels, but is very heavy and bulky and a real pain to move around. Wanted something smaller, lighter, and more portable. When I pulled this one out of the box, I was very pleased to find how light it is (by comparison). I could lift it up onto my work table easily. It has a very sturdy handle on top and seems well built. Also like how compact it is. All the controls are together and easy to access. And you can just push the hose into the coupler without having to pull the sleeve back. It has a ball drain valve as well, just a 90 degree turn to open it. After firing it up, verified that I could still use my framing nailer at 110 PSI -- no problem. The compressor runs to 175 PSI and turns off as advertised, and cuts in at 145 PSI, so no risk of a pressure drop. Also can adjust the pressure easily by turning the regulator knob. There was one big problem for me however, and I ended up returning it as a result. This compressor is EXTREMELY LOUD. I was stunned by that. To give you an idea, if you were standing two feet away and tried talking to someone right in front of you, you would definitely have to shout to hear each other (not to mention the assault on your ears). I have since learned that pretty much all pancake compressors are this way, so the problem is not confined to this one. It just comes down to what you can tolerate. If you wear good ear muffs and can live with the noise, this is a very powerful, well built and well designed air compressor that can probably handle most any tool. But it was too much for me. Hence, gave it four stars and returned it.

This is a decent compressor for a 6 gallon pancake style. I like the electrical cord bracket that is provided for rolling up and storing the cord. I did find a few minor quality issues. The hose that is provided is smaller diameter than other hoses that I own and it comes unassembled with a roll of teflon tape for assembling the fittings. I found that even with a large number of raps of teflon tape on the threads of the female fast disconnect fitting it was still loose and leaked air. I would not trust that this connector would be safe under high pressure and do not plan on using the included hose unless I can find a different connector that fits tightly. Beyond the hose, the kit provides a tire chuck for inflating tires and an attachment with a trigger that can be used for inflating things like floats, beach balls, or other swim gear. But there is only one extra male disconnect fitting so you would have to transfer the fitting depending on what item you want to use. Although the compressor provides two connectors for two hoses, I found that one of the connectors had a burr where the hose connects that could easily rip open your finger if you are not careful. I plan to file it down to correct the issue. I own an older Porter Cable pancake compressor that is the same size and is better quality than this compressor. I bought it as part of a kit that included a finishing nailer and other higher quality made attachments. A quick look found that this compressor is actually higher priced than some other name brands (including Porter Cable) so I really don't see a lot of value with this compressor at this price point.
