  • Nice for around the house!
On time and as described. Compact and lightweight. I use it for small jobs around the house.

  • Gets the job done
Pros: Ready to go as-is (no additional parts, regulator, etc needed), compact and light enough to carry around a site, extremely easy to use, holds enough air for small tasks, components feel robust and well made. Cons: Very loud, seems to fill tank slowly. Overall: solid compressor if you don't mind the noise. ... show more

  • 3.5 stars, loud, slow, works good for non-demanding jobs
In the world of small compressors, this one is a solid lower-middle ground. For the price around one-hundred twenty and slightly less, it just doesn’t seem like the best option. There are a few other offerings around the same price that may be better from just cursory searching. Of course I can’t directly speak to the others since I don’t have them. This thing is more shrill and obnoxious than my 1980’s era large workshop compressor! I measure this unit generating around 90dBA of sound, which is not the loudest compressor, but it’s also the frequency profile which is rough on the ears. Running a spectrum analyzer shows a large hot spot in the 100Hz range, but then there’s a larger peak in the 1,312Hz range which is the high pitch ear killer. Overall the profile is just not great. Aside from the sound levels, the thing does pump air and work for small flow jobs OK and is rather lightweight and portable. I weighed it as around seventeen pounds, which is really not bad. Running it from completely empty to a working pressure of about a hundred pounds per square inch took just about dead-on three minutes. This is where things go south again. Once you have this nice working pressure and you start using it, the system allows the pressure to drop way too far before starting to pump again! It must drop to just seventy pounds pressure before it starts again and this is simply unusable in a great many applications that require a constant pressure above ninety pounds. Far too many tools need more constant pressure to operate correctly for this to be widely useful. For what it’s worth, I was able to top off three 255/45 R20 tires from thirty pounds of pressure up to thirty-five pounds each. So I guess that’s something. And I find it will work just fine for running my spiderweb gun for halloween decorating as it does not require constant higher pressure and it’s only intermittently activated anyhow. ... show more

Works fine

  • This is the perfect size for my intended purposes of doing outdoor work with a pneumatic nail gun
I got this because it's the absolute perfect size to do miscellaneous outdoor work using my pneumatic nail gun. Unfortunately I broke my ankle a couple of weeks ago and just found out that I won't be able to even put weight on it for another month so it will be a while before I'm doing any outdoor work since the weather is going to start turning soon. At this point, I'm giving this 5 STARS ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE NO REASON NOT TO. The manufacturer and Amazon were kind enough to send this to me for the purposes of reviewing, but due to the unfortunate unforeseen events I won't be able to test out and review properly until I am back on My feet again. All of that said, I will be sure to post a follow-up once I have tried this out and include some demonstration videos as well. ... show more

  • Handy portable compressor
I got this for use in my new barn where I haven't installed a full size compressor yet. It is really handy to grab and plug in and provides enough power and reserve to do most jobs. The design is really good with everything compactly packaged and gives you a good handle to grab and move it. I wish it had some kind of hooks to coil your hose around. ... show more

  • Small compact, for light projects/tasks
It is a cute small pancake tank compressor. Perfect for home DIYer, it big enough to most things except for running pneumatic tools and a spray gun. So if you need something small to hide in the garage to pump up tires for vehicles or your toys or for small projects that require a compressor like blowing dust off of things, then this is a nice way to do that won't take up a lot room in the garage or project shed or room. ... show more

  • Extremely Light but Very Loud with Somewhat Limited Applications
I have a 20ish year-old Campbell Hausfeld 4.5-gallon compressor that’s a bit bulky and weighs over 60 lbs. which makes it painful to lug around for small finish carpentry work. I ordered this unit mainly because of its size and weight. On the plus side, this thing is incredibly light and super portable. However, it has a number of shortcomings that make me regret having ordered it. First, it’s painfully loud with a high-pitched whine that absolutely sets my teeth on edge. Second, the compressor runs until the tank pressure reaches (approx.) 110 PSI but doesn’t restart until pressure drops below 70 PSI which is too low to be practical. I was hoping to use this little guy to pump up our road bike tires before going out on a ride. I generally run them a 95-100 PSI but I the tank pressure drops slightly over time, and I frequently find it well below 95 PSI making it nearly useless for this secondary task. So yeah, it works, but the limitations exceed the benefits in my opinion. In hindsight, the unit’s bigger brother would have been a much better choice. It’s a 6-gallon pancake compressor that has far better specs at 150 PSI Max, 2.6 CFM at 90 PSI, dual couplers and cord management for just $20 more. Unfortunately, I was well beyond the return period before I realized my mistake, so this is likely to see limited use. Verdict: you might want to look at other options. ... show more
