Love it, love it, love it!... Tuff inverter, powers even more than I planed.... Dependable! UPDATE: it is now June 10 2026 and this inverter is still going strong, I haven't had a single issue with this inverter since the day I installed it 7 years ago now. Just thought I'd update this review to help build some confidence for someone thinking about purchasing this unit because it is a pretty expensive investment, I have found it to be pretty bullet proof and I've run close to 20,000 kw hours through it. I run it all day everyday, it's on a lot more than it is off. The rated life span is 15 yrs for this unit, hopefully I'll get that and then some... ... show more

i really like the design and color. plus the 48DCV inverter pretty much powers my house appliances and wood shop tools via ac output. it even runs my 240 AC dryer that my son requires. i like how much quieter it is compared to other inverters in its class; so easy to set up. it heavy so make sure you are strong or have another person to place it. Gotta like the fact that its pure sinewave so less thd, and safer for your sensitive appliances, tv, and computers. highly rec this product. Go Solar! ... show more

I should have known better, aims quality is terrible. Both the 24 volt and 48 volt 6000 watt splitphase are junk. Neither one will take a load of more than 1500 watts without shutting off in about 25 seconds. Now to deal with aims is going to be a nightmare.

The AIMS 48volt 6000 watt inverter thus far has shown to be a pretty solid unit that performs as advertised. For solar applications it is not particularly user friendly. If you are expecting several cloudy days and want to "top off" your battery bank, there is not one button you can push to start a bulk charge. You can cycle the unit off then on and hope your battery bank is discharged enough that the bulk charge initiates. If you want to equalize your battery bank, you must shut down the unit, rotate the battery selector switch, and restart the unit. If you want something less than a 4 hour equalization, you have to time that yourself. At the end of the process, you have to shut down the unit, put things back to where they were, and restart the unit. A one button equalization start with a select-able timer would be nice. These suggestions were made to AIMS corp but were dismissed because they were busy working on new projects. It is best to understand the limitations of the product before purchase. The chance of of product improvement or retrofit (in my estimation) is slim to non-existent. ... show more

This product failed within 60 days, I tried to return to Aims Power, this exercise is futile. Let me explain, this product was bought from a customer ouside of USA. After making contact the seller and Aims Power the desision was made by Aimes to reyurn the item since it is under warenty. I made all arangements to have this product returned, This product in now in the USA with a freight forwarder for Aimes to collect. However Aims refuse to collect, for me to get this to Aims Factory I have th find a Customs Brooker in USA Pay all further charges, Note: It is impossible for me to do this remotely. In my opinion Aims have no intentions of beind of any assistance. I will NEVER buy or recommend any one to buy Aims products Unsatisfied Customer ... show more

High surge power is a valuable feature, as instead of killing it, it just beeps at you to turn off what you just turned on. It has pretty high idle consumption of 2A@52V, making it not very efficient to run small loads or to run just a fridge at night. I like it, and think that it will last a long time. The remotes that are offered are kind of useless. Tech support is responsive but useless. ... show more
