    • A fist full of power when you need it
This is a simple one-lung compressor in a very compact package. It would take up the majority of your glovebox space but the remarkable thing is it will go in there and still leave room for your manual, registration and insurance papers. I have a slow leak in one of my 265/70R17 tires on my Toyota 4Runner and having just returned from a 750 mile round trip to a neighboring state assumed correctly that it would have dropped a couple PSI from the 32 PSI recommended. I checked it with a shop quality gauge and it read 30 PSI. I attached the Aimery compressor after having charged it for about four hours to full last night. The integrated gauge in the pump read 32 PSI, or two pounds high. This isn't unreasonable in my estimation since that's not the primary goal of the device but to put air into the tire. It took about four or five minutes to bring the readout pressure to 35.5 which I suspected would be about 32 actual. On testing with my mechanic dial gauge I got 32 and change. This number was confirmed on a decent quality stick gauge. This pump is not going to be used in secret; it is loud like a long used and abused service station free air pump. The upshot though, is it did its job on a big tire with a large volume requirement. It is not going to replace the air in any NASCAR pit box, either since you can read the Sunday funnies in the time it takes to fill a few pounds in a big tire...but that's not surprising either for a cordless device you can hold in your hand. I don't think you could do it with a bicycle pump any faster and this compressor saves you the heart attack, too. As is typical with most automotive small electrical devices it has a flashlight with three different modes, one white and two red flashing sequences which are good to have as well if it's night and you're kneeling at your tire alongside the road. It might encourage someone to stop and lend a hand. The common adaptors are included with the unit being a small straight nozzle for small inflatables like pool toys and the like as well as one for rubber boats and kayaks. A "basketball needle" is also included as is a cigarette lighter cord to run directly from your 12V dashboard accessory plug.. All of it can fit carefully into the black velvet drawstring pouch to keep the pieces together in one spot. While inflating my tires at one point the pump was obviously not advancing the tire pressure any longer and on investigating the cause I noted that the hose had been vibrated loose just enough to allow air to leak at the attachment point. Simply twisting it down tight solved the issue and it was easily done without having to resort to wrenches or anything that would be inappropriate for a compact device. The hose is short and stiff so it would be fairly easy to unscrew it a bit without realizing it just by the action of holding the pump in your hand. In future use I will check and recheck the tightness while it's running. All things considered this is a neat little item and I am happy and reassured to have it in my glovebox with me. This cordless, modern gem is a fantastic tire inflator of absolute convenience! Not only is it spot on effective in a deflated pinch, but its portability makes it a quick go-to powerhouse of much needed air; whether I am miles away with no air pump in sight, or parked in my own driveway a flat tire standing in my way of dependable transportation. Its functionality is ultra effective, inflating my minivan tire (one with the slow leak) in minutes. Not even a screaming toddler fastened in the backseat can spoil the welcomed quick fix of air, once I grab this portable Super Hero from underneath my passenger seat. And in mere minutes, I’m on my way to my next destination (tire shop), without a care in the world. But isn't for large 4x4 truck tires. * Is rechargeable via USB port or with the enclosed 9-volt car charger. * You can preset the tire pressure to the needed level (ex 32 PSI) and it will remember it for next time. * Also comes with tips for inflating balls and a few other tips that I am unsure of their use. * Has a light at the end. Great little portable inflator safety light and charger solution. This unit filled my bicycle and truck tires fine although only a few PSI increase was required. The preset pressures work great and the inflator stopped as soon as the pressure set point was met. Since the internal pump is obviously very small I would not expect to be able to fill a flat truck tire reliably without the unit over heating however it’s likely it could do it in an emergency. The inflator held up well during my tests. It charged fairly quickly and seems to last for several inflation cycles. I’m looking forward to many more uses of this very handy inflator. ... show more
