This is a great alternative to a platform bed for its versatility and portability. It is very firm but I expected that. (Almost like a massage table). I put a memory foam “topper” on it for a more decadent experience. I actually slept on same sleeper ottoman for two years and then gave it to a family member who still uses it for watching movies in living room. (I asked if he still wanted it as I needed one again for xtra room in new house, he didn’t want to part with it so I bought this new one). Let's just say that I was very pleasantly surprised. This lounger cot was much bigger than my measurements or that I expected. Firm pad but has some give to it so it'll hold up. But, they failed to tell you something about the features............... There is a little canvas cot hideaway once you recline the back up or at a slant. The lounger is extremely comfortable and so I thought it would be for myself I find that my cats have taken over ... I am sleeping better, I don't even remember falling asleep and I'm waking up feeling more refreshed that's interesting I didn't expect that. At this time, I have no negative things to say about this lounger. There is no assembly needed at all .....is simply the easiest thing I've ever did not have to assemble. The lounger came quickly it was not damaged it was in very good condition and I am very happy with it both me and my cat Spartacus and Crixus. ... show more

We love the way it looks. It's also comfortable. Unfortunately, it broke the third day we had it. I suppose it's ok for little kids. When I tried to lean back on it, the bracket screw on the recliner part snapped right in half. Part of the broken screw is now stuck inside the casing, so the futon is basically broken. ... show more

Adjustability - love it! Assembly - beyond easy! Look - fits perfectly in our space with our color scheme. Fabric - exactly what I thought. Comfort - hard as a rock! The ONLY way I could keep this was by getting a memory foam mattress topper and a twin fitted sheet.
