It is loud, if you need loud (and of course volume is adjustable) It works well at moderate distance through our 100 year old stucco walls. I just wish two (or more) different tunes would play, depending on which doorbell was pushed - my intuition suggests its easy enough to program for pairing additional transmitters, I suppose they're working on it or already sell it. ... show more

We bought these for my mom and she LOVES them! She’s 85 and couldn’t hear her regular doorbell when she was in the basement doing laundry. We replaced her old door bell with these. Now she can hear the doorbell! She has one plugged into a kitchen outlet and the other downstairs in her family room and only one button to push by her front door. She used to have a little plug in from the hardware store she used in the basement, but she had two doorbell buttons and had to put a sign by them telling people to push both buttons.
