This is a nice GFCI outlet with a cover. It is not my preferred design for an exterior outlet as I like to be able to keep cords plugged in and close the cover to keep the rain out. This cover really doesn’t work for that. But I do like the cover and sleek design of this outlet. It is very low profile when installed so it is far less conspicuous than most weatherproof outlets. I ended up installing this outlet on my front porch, where I really only need an outlet intermittently, like when we blow dirt off the porch. Because we don’t keep cords plugged in at that location the slim cover works great. It does close securely and keeps the weather out when closed. The GFCI outlet works great at least when tested with a tester. I don’t think I have had any true ground fault situations to test the gfci in the wild, but it trips immediately with the tester.

I ordered this GFCI outlet to provide a safe exterior power source for my garage. Several features attracted me to this product. First and foremost, it is designed and built for weather resistance. This AIDA 20A GFCI Outlet with Weatherproof Cover & Wall Plate is of good quality. I feel the Weatherproof Cover & Wall Plate is suitable for a covered porch or under a roof eve. Being plastic, the Weatherproof Cover & Wall Plate may fail sooner if installed where it is exposed all the time. The outlet is a standard 20amp GFI and works as expected.

Not much to really say here but it works like it should. Installation is easy enough especially if you've done something similar or have basic electrical knowledge. One issue I do have with the housing (and this is just nit picking) is that the inside of the housing doesn't have a gasket to keep out the elements. The extra protection would have been nice to include.

Having a safe covered outlet for outdoors is almost a necessity and this outlet/cover is exactly what I needed to to be able to have electricity on the deck and to enable my power tools to be used without concern. The GFCI outlet is very good quality and and gives the confidence that the breaker will trip to prevent possibility of shock or damage. The waterproof cover keeps this outlet protected from the rain. A color option might be nice to blend in to the house siding or brick color.

I bought the 20 amp outlet which is perfect for most applications. It is well built and what I like most is the instructions which are very clear and illustrated. ( something you don't always see) You will also notice most parts are brass or stainless like you would expect. Really is a stout outlet.

This is a well made 20A GFCI outlet with weatherproof cover. The cover has ELEGRP logo on it. I like that it is spring-loaded and self-closing. The 5-second self-test feature is unique and that seems to be its competitive advantage. It is UL Listed and it's reasonably priced. It works as expected. There are no cons.
